I made the Lincoln news sort of
« on: September 18, 2018, 01:44:05 pm »
Well all I really did was told them to get the fork out of my store as well as getting a plate number and car description.

Alcohol and stupidity did the rest.  Had to go identify the one in the ambulance before they took him away.  Was to beat up for the hauling in the squad car back to the store like normal.

You work at that store?  I'm in and out of there a couple times a week.  Heard about the accident the next day at work and had a near-terminal case of the giggles that frightened my co-workers!
In my book a pioneer is a man who turned all the grass upside down, strung bob-wire over the dust that was left, poisoned the water, cut down the trees, killed the Indian who owned the land and called it progress.  Charles M. Russell
