Clothing and Equipment Suppliers
« on: August 03, 2010, 03:22:01 pm »
It was suggested to me that it would be a good idea if we compiled a list of suppliers of clothing and equipment so that members would be able to find the items they need for our game. My list below has been "borrowed" from the now defunct General Miles Marching and Chowder Society. Check out Percival Custom Leather (percivalcustomleather.com)

This guy makes period military holsters (Civil war, Indian Wars etc) McClellan saddles and tack as well as a host of other associated appurtenances.

His quality and attention to detail is unsurpassed. Each item is handmade by Paul aka Trooper Smith.

In my 50 years of wearing  gunleather, I have never seen better.
I use his competition holsters for my SASS matches.

Gloves
Specifically white cotton dress gloves to be worn with the dress uniform. When I was a little boy my mom used to wear gloves that were very similar to Berlins to church. See the General's avitar or the picture of me, Col. Major Matt Lewis and Col.Diamond in the Iron Trooper thread.

Depends on how accurate a copy you want. Hat Crafters makes a fakey one, but Dirty Billy is the only quality copy I'm aware of,
