(The story behind and how I picked it): |
Hey there! I am Kristina Olson (Stina for short), and am a Swedish immigrant woman from 1894. I have a university degree in history, and have worked very hard to learn English since moving to Colorado with my husband Lars, who is a mining engineer and assayer. My father was a tailor for the iron-works back in Sweden, so I know something about sewing, and use this to supplement my income as a clerk for the Black Bear Mining Company.
I also play a strangely Swedish instrument, the nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle), which has been popular in my home province of Uppland since the 1300s. |
