(The story behind and how I picked it): |
I live near the Silver Creek and I'z slimmer than most.
Silver Creek Slim was born on a farm in Dekalb County, Indiana, on August 25, 1841. He was the 9th of 13th children. He moved, with his family, to central Wisconsin in 1855. When the War Between the States started, he enlisted in the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry Regiment. The Regiment was mustered into service on March 8, 1862.
