(The story behind and how I picked it): |
How I picked it: Gone with the Wind is one of my favorite novels. Red is my favorite color so the name Scarlett intrigued me. I didn’t want to tie myself to a personality created by someone else so I gave it a bit more thought. Asking myself what do I really think of Scarlett O’Hara; my answer, well she is no angel is she.
Scarlet Angel was born March 16, 1849 on a ranch outside of El Paso, TX. Her mother being an exceptional horsewoman and her father an exceptional marksman, Scarlet learned all she could from both.
Scarlet’s husband was shot by outlaws in May of 1868. Swearing they would die by her hand she became a bounty hunter, following the outlaws until they fled the country.
While trailing the outlaws Scarlet rescued one of their captives. The two women became good friends. On New Years Eve 1870 Scarlet loaned her friend money to cover a bet and the two found themselves owners of a very profitable Saloon. Scarlet is a silent partner for the most part but can be seen there occasionally.
After two years of bounty hunting Scarlet became a Deputy Marshal, which continues to be an adventure.
Scarlet can often be seen wearing a yellow ribbon in her hair to show her support for the soldiers, especially the one who carries her heart with him wherever he goes.
