This is just about the best news and can't wait to share. Hopefully you will help pass the word around!

Elk County Community Choir is in the planning stages of doing a performance at the Crazy Days celebration in the Moline City Park Sat. June 27th, 2009. Right now we are looking at doing familiar patriotic songs that we all know and love. As soon as a practice date is chosen I will post it along with what time the performance will take place.

Also in the planning stages is another Singspiration to take place in Oct. We should have more details on that around mid June.

Keep looking for timely updates on this wonderful show of pride and unity in our little communities.

Oh, how fun...Maybe a performance of the choir should be auctioned off at Crazy Days!!  You all could start traveling and doing concerts out in the tri-county area!  laugh

We will have a meeting/practice on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Howard.  We are planning to do Patriotic songs for the Crazy Days performance.  Looking at maybe 2 specials if anyone is interested (solo, ensemble, etc.)  Look forward to seeing everyone on the 7th.

Just received the upadate that the Community Choir will hold a practice on Sunday June 21st at 2:00pm at the Howard First Baptist Church. This is also Father's Day so some will not be able to attend and that is understandable.  Everyone is familiar with the patriotic songs we will sing. We will just practice and get ready for the performance at Crazy Days on the 27th of June. We are scheduled to sing for about 20 minutes at 1:30pm and then again at 2:30pm on the 27th.

Might want to mark your calendars that the Community Choir will sing at the Howard Fair Sunday July 19th at 6:00pm.

Again help us spread the word about the practice date plus the performance dates. Smiley

We had a very good turn out for our practce today. It was announced that the time for us to sing at Crazy Days in Moline on Sat. June 27th has been moved up a few minutes. If you are singing in the choir, be there at 1:00pm so we can sing our first round at 1:15pm till 1:45pm.  We will then take a little break and come back to sing at 2:15pm to 2:30pm. Looking forward to a great afternoon in the beautiful Moline City Park.
