Did you notice how pale these yougsters looked beneath their coating of coal dust? A testimony to how many hours were spent out of the sunlight. Thank God those times are gone.

Those times are only gone in the more advanced societies...There are plenty of places in the world where little kids still are pressed into all sorts of filthy circumstances.
