Tommy Lee Church went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 26, 2020.  He was born on November 18, 1937 at Alluwe, Oklahoma, the son of Jesse T. and Ellen A. (Hollobaugh) Church.

Tommy purchased a grocery store in Howard, Kansas in 1973.  He and his family worked there until 1991.  In 1987, he purchased a convenience store in Sedan, Kansas, Tom & Sue's Food Mart.  This is where many people enjoyed Tommy's kindnesses and his dry sense of humor.  After his retirement, he and Sue traveled and dabbled in antiques.  He never met a Western movie he didn't like.

Tommy leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years, Kathryn "Sue"; his daughters, Sheila Kocher of Wichita, Kansas and Marci (Edward) Shubert of Winfield, Kansas; his grandchildren, J.C. (Allyson) Kocher of Kea'au, Hawaii, Angi Kocher of Wichita, Kansas, and Jena (Scott) Cummings of Wichita, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriel, Gorge, Tommy, Avigail, Gracia, and Judah; his sisters, Margaret Mayo of Dallas, Texas and Shirley Brown of Sherman, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Donna Church of Sherman, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Church; his son-in-law, Jim Kocher; and his grandson, Joshua Kocher.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Veterans Memorial Patio, 2400 Woodland Avenue, Coffeyville, Kansas with Rev. Jerry Seigel officiating.  The family will greet friends at 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Patio.  Tommy will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (the cemeteries are adjacent to each other).  Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville, Kansas is honored to oversee the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com.
