Lyle has had many hobbies throughout his lifetime from painting landscapes, making over 100 model airplanes from kits, making leather pictures and belts, and metal detecting for buried treasures to having a layout of HO and N scale model trains.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Marcia of the home; his children, Kim Allen of Sedgwick, Kansas, Barbara (Chris) Taylor of Wichita, Kansas, and Heather (Christopher) Heller of Champaign, Illinois; his grandchildren, Brandie, Clyde, Destiny, Taryn, and Anika; and six great-grandchidlren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Edward, Frank, Charles, Howard, Dale, and Robert; his sister, Lillian; and his great-grandson, Clyde J. Clarke, III.
Graveside services for Lyle will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at South Lawn Cemetery in Severy, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
