Rosann Marie Voigtlander, age 77, passed away on February 1, 2019 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Sedan, Kansas.  She was born July 28, 1941 in Winfield, Kansas to Otis and Marie (Reighley) Wells.

Rosann grew up in Winfield, Kansas and graduated from high school there.  After high school, she went on to get her nursing certificate which she would use for the rest of her life.

In 1973, Rosann married Howard Voigtlander in Winfield, Kansas.  Upon their marriage, they moved to their farm in Grenola, Kansas and have spent 45 years there, raising three children.  Rosann seemed to always be working, whether it be on the farm or at a hospital or clinic as a Registered Nurse.  When it came to her kids and granddaughter though, work could not keep her away from the school programs and the 4-H animal shows.  If her kids were involved, she was there to support them.  She was also a devout Catholic and always made sure her kids attended church every week regardless of anything else that was going on.

Rosann is survived by her husband, Howard of the home; her sons, Andy Voigtlander and Bill Voigtlander, both of Grenola, Kansas; her daughter, Rita Voigtlander and fiance, Marie Gorton of Winfield, Kansas; her granddaughter, Angel; her brother, David Wells of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Wells of Mobile, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joseph Wells; and her sister-in-law, Lynn Wells.

Cremation has been requested.  Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time.  Inurnment will take place at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in rural Chautauqua County (Road 8 and Trail Road, Grenola, Kansas).

Memorial contributions in Rosann's name may be made to St. Mary's Altar Society and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349/
