Julanne Renee Hilton, age 70, of Severy, Kansas, passed away January 9, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born January 9, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Phillip and Evelyn Walls.

Julanne was a military kid and traveled to many places.  While living in Ponca City, Oklahoma as a single mom, she met David Hilton.  They immediately knew they were meant to be together, and on July 7, 1977, they were married.  They lived in Ponca City for awhile, then Wichita,  and moved to Severy in 1981.  They enjoyed 41 years together raising their children.  Julanne and David did lots of traveling, taking cruises and visiting the mountains.  When grandkids came along, their travel became going to see the grandkids.

Julanne worked at West Elk High School and loved being part of the kids' lives.  She had a strong faith and had a love for helping others.  She would never closer her door to anyone.

Julanne is survived by her husband, David; her children, Gene and Anna Hall of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Shane and Tawanna Hall of Houston, Texas, Stacey Hilton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christopher Hilton of Evansville, Indiana, and Brad Hilton of Evansville, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers,  Lynx Walls, Haskell Walls, Jimmie Walls, and Jay Walls, and  many nieces and nephews.

A memorials service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kasns.  Memorials contributions are suggested in Julanne's name to the Wounded Warriors and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Online condolences for the family may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E.
