Sharlyn Kaye McAlister, age 71, of Moline, Kansas, passed away June 5, 2018 at her home.  She was born on August 16, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Gerald Eugene and Betty Lorene (Ward) McAlister.

Sharlyn was a graduate of Moline High School Class of 1964.  She worked during her life for the Moline Nursing Home as a cook.  She enjoyed working with Friendship Meals of Moline.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and taking care of her home.

Survivors include her sister, Connie L. Hey and husband, Merle of Moline, Kansas; nephew, Brad Hey and wife, Julie and son, Sutton; and niece, Dala Ramsey and husband, James and their daughter, Kayla Frazier and husband, Joe and their daughter, Harper.  Sharlyn was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been requested.  Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Memorials have been suggested to Friendship Meals of Moline and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
