Richard Cordray, the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a holdover from the Obama administration appointed to a five-year term that was to end in July 2018, is leaving the agency this month. According to the New York Times, Cordray "has resisted efforts by the Trump administration and congressional Republicans to rein in regulation."

Hey Republicans, you have had total control of the government for almost a year: Why hasn't the CFPB been abolished? That is much more important than tinkering with a few regulations. As for Republicans "reining in regulations," don't hold your breath. Republicans love regulations—as long as they can make them.
