Jalyn Jace Hawkins was born on July 26, 2017 with her identical twin sister, Jaxie Jade, to Andy and Kristy (Treadway) Hawkins. 

Sweet Jalyn was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing only one pound and five ounces.  She survived a life-saving surgery at 21 weeks and an extremely rare diagnosis of stage II TAPS.  However, on August 19, after living for 24 days, Jalyn went to be with our Lord Jesus after fighting a sudden infection that did not respond to treatment.  She was such a strong girl and overcame many hurdles during her time on earth.  Jalyn only knew and felt love on this earth before opening her eyes to see the face of Jesus in Heaven.

Jalyn is survived by her parents and sister; her maternal grandparents, Charlie and Diana Stroble; her maternal great-grandmother, Naida Becker-Palmer;  her paternal grandparents, Howard R. and Ellen Hawkins; and many other family members and friends.  She was greeted in Heaven by her two older brothers, Kade and Kiptyn; her grandfather, Monte Treadway; her maternal great-grandparents, Jim Becker and Carroll and Irene Treadway; and her paternal great grandparents, Howard A. and Phyllis Hawkins and Max and Lena Forsythe.

A private burial has taken place at Belknap Cemetery in Chautauqua County, Kansas.  Dickens Family Funeral Home of Sedan, Kansas was in charge of arrangements.
