June Burger, age 82, of Iola, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Allen County Hospital in Iola.  She was born on July 9, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Jens and Helen (Boehme) Seldorsen.

June married Dale Francis Burger in Wichita, Kansas on October 26, 1991.  She was a giving and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who didn't know a stranger.  She was known as "Mom" to many and welcomed all into her home.  As a dietitian, she loved to cook, write cookbooks, and enjoyed watching The Food Network.  June was very friendly and always had a good story to tell.  She enjoyed attending the senior dinners at Iola Townhouse.  In her spare time, she loved to read and play Bingo.  She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, Kansas.

June is survived by nine children from her first marriage to Jerauld F. Peck, Sr. including Jeanne (Jeff) Garlach of Wichita, Kansas, Ruth (Mike Nurse) Peck of Wichita, Kansas, Mary (Mark) Freimiller of Iola, Kansas, Jerauld (Kathy) Peck of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathleen (Russell) Rush of Boston, Massachusetts, Nancy (Mike) Ford of Iola, Kansas, Helen (Patrick) Humphress of Haysville, Kansas, Carol (Tim) Murray of Orlando, Florida, and Andrew Peck of Wichita, Kansas; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Burger; her daughter, Laurel Walker; her sisters, Heddy and Anne; and her granddaughter, Jourdan Rush.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. followed by visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, Kansas.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church.   Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Moline City Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Memorials have been suggested to Wichita Catholic Priest Retirement Fund and may be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, 908 Central, Humboldt, Kansas 66746 which is in charge of arrangements.
