Do any old timers  :) know about the brick streets of Howard...where the brick came from, was there a brick plant anywhere in Howard? We know there was one SW of Moline on the hill (now the property is owned by Paul and Fay Duranleau. Would like to know the date they were laid as those streets have held up so nicely. There was A Brick Plant in Moline, it started up in 1906. I don't know when it was closed. It is my understanding that the Bricks in Howard Streets came from there. I am not an old timer, at least not yet. I came to Howard in 1940, via the Stork, I was My parents 15th child. After they saw me they decided they better not have any more Babies.
