Last Sunday was W. P. Brown's birth anniversary and his wife had planned a surprise dinner on him for that day.  However, Bill was scheduled to be out of town on official business, so Mrs. Brown had to break the news to him, in order to keep him home for the affair.  Members of the family and relatives were present and all enjoyed a fine dinner and a pleasant day visiting.   Those present were Mr. Brown's mother, Mrs. M. M. Brown of Elk Falls, Mrs. Flo McLaughlin, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Middlekauff and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bennitt of Elk Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Brown of Howard, Mrs. and Mrs. James Fryley and family of Cherryvale.
