Miss Mary Mitchell and Mr. Luther Scogin wedding December 23, 1910

Mr. Luther Scogin, of Howard, Kansas, and Miss Mary Mitchell of Walnut were married at Erie by Probate Judge J. A. Alleman on December 23, 1910.  The bride's sister, Miss Iva, was bridesmaid and her cousin, Mr. George Squires was best man.  On Wednesday night six of the bride's girl friends went in and serenaded them, accompanied by John Breshon as captain.  Then on Thursday evening they were charivaried in good old old fashioned style.  They started for their future home at Howard on Friday.  The enitre community extends to them its hearty congratulations.
