Local Boys Return from WW I

BOYS COMING HOME
Telegrams from boys of the 87th Division stated that they had arrived in New York last Saturday.  This is mighty god news for a large number of parents and friends of the boys.  This division included Chas Durbin, Ronald Fulk, George Earle, Earl Warren, Ralph Edward and the Crapisi boys.  It is expected that they will be demobilized and sent home in the near future.

According to these dispatches the 32nd Division will be sent home in April and the 89th in June.  These Divisions include a greater number of home boys and the home folks are rejoicing at the prospect of seeing the boys again soon.

Boys of 87th Home
The boys of the 87th Division who returned from France a few weeks ago are now home.  Charlie Durbin, George Earle, Ronald Fulk and Ralph Edwards returned last week to Moline and Earl Warren went to Sedan wher his sister, Mrs. W. L. Bruner lives.

These boys wer in the National army being inducted into the service in the fall of 1917 at Camp Funston.  They were later sent to Camp Pike, Arkansas, where they were trained in the work of Field Artillery.  Earl Warren was put into the Medical Department because of his knowledge of pharmacy.  Last summer they were sent to Camp Dix, New Jersey, and from there transported to France and began their intensive training.  The signing of the armistice occurred before they were taken to the front.

The boys all show good effects from their training and all have excellent army records.  The community is glad to welcome them back home again.
