With all the talk from both sides in the last few years I would like to pose a question to everybody. Can you list at least 3 freedoms that we, as Americans, have?

"Taking Their Possessions and Some Seeds, They Had Retreated Ever Deeper Into the Forest"

A True Survival Story

Mac Slavo

February 3, 2013

When Josef Stalin instituted a campaign of purging dissidents in the 1930′s, some 17 million people were left dead or missing by the time it was all said and done.

Had you been targeted for extermination during this Great Purge, your chances of survival very rapidly approached zero.

Most became victims when their government classified them as enemies of the state.

Some, however, and against all odds, found a way to survive.

This forest [Russian Taiga] is the last and greatest of Earth's wildernesses. It stretches from the furthest tip of Russia's arctic regions as far south as Mongolia, and east from the Urals to the Pacific: five million square miles of nothingness, with a population, outside a handful of towns, that amounts to only a few thousand people.

...

Thus it was in the remote south of the forest in the summer of 1978. A helicopter sent to find a safe spot to land a party of geologists was skimming the treeline a hundred or so miles from the Mongolian border when it dropped into the thickly wooded valley of an unnamed tributary of the Abakan, a seething ribbon of water rushing through dangerous terrain. The valley walls were narrow, with sides that were close to vertical in places, and the skinny pine and birch trees swaying in the rotors' downdraft were so thickly clustered that there was no chance of finding a spot to set the aircraft down. But, peering intently through his windscreen in search of a landing place, the pilot saw something that should not have been there. It was a clearing, 6,000 feet up a mountainside, wedged between the pine and larch and scored with what looked like long, dark furrows. The baffled helicopter crew made several passes before reluctantly concluding that this was evidence of human habitation—a garden that, from the size and shape of the clearing, must have been there for a long time.

It was an astounding discovery. The mountain was more than 150 miles from the nearest settlement, in a spot that had never been explored. The Soviet authorities had no records of anyone living in the district.

...

As the intruders scrambled up the mountain, heading for the spot pinpointed by their pilots, they began to come across signs of human activity: a rough path, a staff, a log laid across a stream, and finally a small shed filled with birch-bark containers of cut-up dried potatoes.

...

The sight that greeted the geologists as they entered the cabin was like something from the middle ages. Jerry-built from whatever materials came to hand, the dwelling was not much more than a burrow—"a low, soot-blackened log kennel that was as cold as a cellar," with a floor consisting of potato peel and pine-nut shells. Looking around in the dim light, the visitors saw that it consisted of a single room. It was cramped, musty and indescribably filthy, propped up by sagging joists—and, astonishingly, home to a family of five.

The Lykovs lived in this hand-built log cabin, lit by a single window "the size of a backpack pocket" and warmed by a smoky wood-fired stove.

Led by Pismenskaya, the scientists backed hurriedly out of the hut and retreated to a spot a few yards away, where they took out some provisions and began to eat. After about half an hour, the door of the cabin creaked open, and the old man and his two daughters emerged—no longer hysterical and, though still obviously frightened, "frankly curious." Warily, the three strange figures approached and sat down with their visitors, rejecting everything that they were offered—jam, tea, bread—with a muttered, "We are not allowed that!" When Pismenskaya asked, "Have you ever eaten bread?" the old man answered: "I have. But they have not. They have never seen it." At least he was intelligible. The daughters spoke a language distorted by a lifetime of isolation. "When the sisters talked to each other, it sounded like a slow, blurred cooing."

...

Slowly, over several visits, the full story of the family emerged. The old man's name was Karp Lykov, and he was an Old Believer—a member of a fundamentalist Russian Orthodox sect, worshiping in a style unchanged since the 17th century. Old Believers had been persecuted since the days of Peter the Great, and Lykov talked about it as though it had happened only yesterday; for him, Peter was a personal enemy and "the anti-Christ in human form"—a point he insisted had been amply proved by Tsar's campaign to modernize Russia by forcibly "chopping off the beards of Christians." But these centuries-old hatreds were conflated with more recent grievances; Karp was prone to complain in the same breath about a merchant who had refused to make a gift of 26poods [940 pounds] of potatoes to the Old Believers sometime around 1900.

Things had only got worse for the Lykov family when the atheist Bolsheviks took power. Under the Soviets, isolated Old Believer communities that had fled to Siberia to escape persecution began to retreat ever further from civilization. During the purges of the 1930s, with Christianity itself under assault, a Communist patrol had shot Lykov's brother on the outskirts of their village while Lykov knelt working beside him. He had responded by scooping up his family and bolting into forest.

...

That was in 1936, and there were only four Lykovs then—Karp; his wife, Akulina; a son named Savin, 9 years old, and Natalia, a daughter who was only 2. Taking their possessions and some seeds, they had retreated ever deeper into the taiga, building themselves a succession of crude dwelling places, until at last they had fetched up in this desolate spot. Two more children had been born in the wild—Dmitry in 1940 and Agafia in 1943—and neither of the youngest Lykov children had ever seen a human being who was not a member of their family. All that Agafia and Dmitry knew of the outside world they learned entirely from their parents' stories. The family's principal entertainment, the Russian journalist Vasily Peskov noted, "was for everyone to recount their dreams."

The Lykov children knew there were places called cities where humans lived crammed together in tall buildings. They had heard there were countries other than Russia. But such concepts were no more than abstractions to them. Their only reading matter was prayer books and an ancient family Bible. Akulina had used the gospels to teach her children to read and write, using sharpened birch sticks dipped into honeysuckle juice as pen and ink.

Agafia Lykova (left) with her sister, Natalia.

Isolation made survival in the wilderness close to impossible. Dependent solely on their own resources, the Lykovs struggled to replace the few things they had brought into the taiga with them. They fashioned birch-bark galoshes in place of shoes. Clothes were patched and repatched until they fell apart, then replaced with hemp cloth grown from seed.

...

The Lykovs had carried a crude spinning wheel and, incredibly, the components of a loom into the taiga with them—moving these from place to place as they gradually went further into the wilderness must have required many long and arduous journeys—but they had no technology for replacing metal. A couple of kettles served them well for many years, but when rust finally overcame them, the only replacements they could fashion came from birch bark. Since these could not be placed in a fire, it became far harder to cook. By the time the Lykovs were discovered, their staple diet was potato patties mixed with ground rye and hemp seeds.

In some respects, Peskov makes clear, the taiga did offer some abundance: "Beside the dwelling ran a clear, cold stream. Stands of larch, spruce, pine and birch yielded all that anyone could take.... Bilberries and raspberries were close to hand, firewood as well, and pine nuts fell right on the roof."

The Lykovs' homestead seen from a Soviet reconnaissance plane, 1980.

Yet the Lykovs lived permanently on the edge of famine. It was not until the late 1950s, when Dmitry reached manhood, that they first trapped animals for their meat and skins. Lacking guns and even bows, they could hunt only by digging traps or pursuing prey across the mountains until the animals collapsed from exhaustion. Dmitry built up astonishing endurance, and could hunt barefoot in winter, sometimes returning to the hut after several days, having slept in the open in 40 degrees of frost, a young elk across his shoulders. More often than not, though, there was no meat, and their diet gradually became more monotonous. Wild animals destroyed their crop of carrots, and Agafia recalled the late 1950s as "the hungry years." "We ate the rowanberry leaf," she said,

roots, grass, mushrooms, potato tops, and bark, We were hungry all the time. Every year we held a council to decide whether to eat everything up or leave some for seed.

Famine was an ever-present danger in these circumstances, and in 1961 it snowed in June. The hard frost killed everything growing in their garden, and by spring the family had been reduced to eating shoes and bark. Akulina chose to see her children fed, and that year she died of starvation. The rest of the family were saved by what they regarded as a miracle: a single grain of rye sprouted in their pea patch. The Lykovs put up a fence around the shoot and guarded it zealously night and day to keep off mice and squirrels. At harvest time, the solitary spike yielded 18 grains, and from this they painstakingly rebuilt their rye crop.

...

Perhaps the saddest aspect of the Lykovs' strange story was the rapidity with which the family went into decline after they re-established contact with the outside world. In the fall of 1981, three of the four children followed their mother to the grave within a few days of one another. According to Peskov, their deaths were not, as might have been expected, the result of exposure to diseases to which they had no immunity. Both Savin and Natalia suffered from kidney failure, most likely a result of their harsh diet. But Dmitry died of pneumonia, which might have begun as an infection he acquired from his new friends.

His death shook the geologists, who tried desperately to save him. They offered to call in a helicopter and have him evacuated to a hospital. But Dmitry, in extremis, would abandon neither his family nor the religion he had practiced all his life. "We are not allowed that," he whispered just before he died. "A man lives for howsoever God grants."

When all three Lykovs had been buried, the geologists attempted to talk Karp and Agafia into leaving the forest and returning to be with relatives who had survived the persecutions of the purge years, and who still lived on in the same old villages. But neither of the survivors would hear of it. They rebuilt their old cabin, but stayed close to their old home.

The Lykovs had the clothes on their backs, some personal possessions, and some basic supplies when they fled the Purge.

They made it in one of the most inhospitable regions in the world for forty years.

Despite the challenges and regardless of the odds, humans are built to survive.

TELL YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TO OPPOSE THE GUN BAN: READ THIS ARTICLE FOR DETAILS
January 31, 2013
Law Enforcement officials around the country have come out against the Gun Ban.
Some have sent letters to their residents and to Vice President Biden.

Sheriff Mueller – Wrote a letter to Vice President Biden saying he will not enforce any gun ban, and will stop federal officers from enforcing it in his county, Linn County, Oregon – You can read his letter below.
You can see their letters and video interviews on this page.
If you are opposed to the Assault Weapons Ban you should take a stand, here's how:
Send this letter to your local Law Enforcement Official:

Dear Sheriff ________________,

As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in _______________County you were required to take an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic. Having taken that oath I would like to know if you will honor your oath by refusing to enforce Federal rules, regulations and directives that violate the Constitution and/or the Bill of Rights.

The Second Amendment clearly proclaims that the people have a right to own guns and in the Bill of Rights, the government is prohibited from infringing on the right of the people to own guns if they choose to do so.

Your primary job is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the rights of the people that live in ______________ County. The Supreme Court has ruled that the Federal government has no lawful jurisdiction in the counties and that when a Sheriff chooses to enforce an unconstitutional directive, he is violating his Constitutional Oath.

The people of _______________ County are the employer and you are the employee and we expect you to represent us and not the Federal government. As your employer, I would like to know if you are given an order that violates the Constitution, will you honor your oath or will you do as directed by the President of the United States.

Sincerely,_________________

TELL YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF TO SEND A LETTER LIKE SHERIFF TIM MUELLER DID:
HAVE THEM SEND IT TO VICE-PRESIDENT BIDEN:
Copy of Sheriff Tim Muellers Letter to Biden
Dear Mr. Vice President,   I am Sheriff Tim Mueller, elected twice by the citizens of Linn County Oregon who have entrusted me with a noble cause: to keep them and their families safe. My deputies and I take that responsibility very seriously and, like you, have sworn to support the Constitution of the United States. I take that oath equally as serious as protecting our citizens. I have worked for the people of Linn County for over 28 years as a member of the Linn County Sheriff's Office as well as serving three years active duty as a Military Police Officer in the US Army, where I also swore a similar oath.

In the wake of the recent criminal events, politicians are attempting to exploit the deaths of innocent victims by advocating for laws that would prevent honest, law abiding Americans from possessing certain firearms and ammunition magazines. We are Americans. We must not allow, nor shall we tolerate, the actions of criminals, no matter how heinous the crimes, to prompt politicians to enact laws that will infringe upon the liberties of responsible citizens who have broken no laws.

Any federal regulation enacted by Congress or by executive order of the President offending the constitutional rights of my citizens shall not be enforced by me or by my deputies, nor will I permit the enforcement of any unconstitutional regulations or orders by federal officers within the borders of Linn County Oregon.

In summary, it is the position of this Sheriff that I refuse to participate, or stand idly by, while my citizens are turned into criminals due to the unconstitutional actions of misguided politicians.

Respectfully,  –   Sheriff Tim Mueller    –  Linn County Oregon

Missouri Law Will Force Gun Owners to Register with Schools

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
January 24, 2013

A Missouri Democrat wants to force parents to inform school officials of firearms ownership.

"We are not trying to take away anyone's gun, period," State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal told KMOV in St. Louis. "We're not even asking what kind of gun you have. We want the school district to be able to say, 'you know what, there are some really terrible things going on right now,' and we need to be able to talk to the parent that we know they have a gun and make sure that there is security, that this gun is stored securely."

The proposed law would criminalize and impose a $100 fine on parents who fail to inform public and private school officials and $1,000 if they are found guilty of "negligent storage of a firearm" and fail to notify a school that they own a firearm.

"It's the next idea in a long list of proposed ideas for gun control: Making it mandatory for parents to notify their children's schools about their gun supply," reports KCTV in Kansas City.

Timothy Birdnow, writing for the American Thinker, believes the proposed law "is intended to be as broad as possible, to open the door for more and stricter regulations down the road. Were Chappelle-Nadal putting forth a serious bill she would have specific definitions and a very circumscribed legal requirement. It is open-ended for a reason."

Birdnow argues the law is part of a larger effort to brainwash children and turn them against the Second Amendment and the idea of gun ownership. "The fact is the Left has wanted all vestiges, indeed, all thoughts of firearm ownership washed away," he writes.

Obama's attorney general, Eric Holder, told the Woman's National Democratic Club in 1995 he wanted to use a national anti-smoking campaign as a model to "change the hearts and minds of people in Washington, DC" about the Second Amendment.

Chappell-Nadal's bill, however, faces an uphill battle. Earlier this month, Missouri Republican state Sen. Brian Munzlinger introduced legislation designed to nullify any federal law restricting semiautomatic firearms in the Show Me State. The law would make it a felony for federal agents to impose restrictions on firearms. Republican Casey Guernsey introduced a similar bill in the Missouri House.

Public schools SUCK!  Just how in the hell would they even find out if a person did in fact keep a gun in their home?  Bunch of government funded pansies!  They want to know what I keep in my home then they should try and break in, I would gladly show them the business end of my legally owned weapons!

Does China Plan To Establish "China Cities" And "Special Economic Zones" All Over America?

Michael Snyder
Economic Collapse
Jan 23, 2013

What in the world is China up to?  Over the past several years, the Chinese government and large Chinese corporations (which are often at least partially owned by the government) have been systematically buying up businesses, homes, farmland, real estate, infrastructure and natural resources all over America.  In some cases, China appears to be attempting to purchase entire communities in one fell swoop.  So why is this happening?  Is this some form of "economic colonization" that is taking place?  Some have speculated that China may be intending to establish "special economic zones" inside the United States modeled after the very successful Chinese city of Shenzhen.  Back in the 1970s, Shenzhen was just a very small fishing village, but now it is a sprawling metropolis of over 14 million people.  Initially, these "special economic zones" were only established within China, but now the Chinese government has been buying huge tracts of land in foreign countries such as Nigeria and establishing special economic zones in those nations.  So could such a thing actually happen in America?  Well, according to Dr. Jerome Corsi, a plan being pushed by the Chinese Central Bank would set up "development zones" in the United States that would allow China to "establish Chinese-owned businesses and bring in its citizens to the U.S. to work."  Under the plan, some of the $1.17 trillion that the U.S. owes China would be converted from debt to "equity".  As a result, "China would own U.S. businesses, U.S. infrastructure and U.S. high-value land, all with a U.S. government guarantee against loss."  Does all of this sound far-fetched?  Well, it isn't.  In fact, the economic colonization of America is already far more advanced than most Americans would dare to imagine.

So how in the world did we get to this point?  A few decades ago, the United States was the unchallenged economic powerhouse of the world and China was essentially a third world country.

So what happened?

Well, we entered into a whole bunch of extremely unfavorable "free trade" agreements, and countries such as China began to aggressively use "free trade" as an economic weapon against us.

Over the past decade, we have lost tens of thousands of businesses and millions of jobs to China.  When the final numbers for 2012 come out, our trade deficit with China for the year will be well over 300 billion dollars, and that will be the largest trade deficit that one country has had with another country in the history of the world.

Overall, the U.S. has run a trade deficit with China over the past decade that comes to more than 2.3 trillion dollars.  That 2.3 trillion dollars could have gone to U.S. businesses and U.S. workers, and in turn taxes would have been paid on all of that money.  But instead, all of that money went to China.

Rather than just sitting on all of that money, China has been lending much of it back to us – at interest.  We now owe China more than a trillion dollars, and our politicians are constantly pleading with China to lend more money to us so that we can finance our exploding debt.

Today, the U.S. government pays China approximately 100 million dollars a day in interest on the debt that we owe them.  Those that say that the U.S. debt "does not matter" are being incredibly foolish.

So thanks to our massive trade deficit and our exploding national debt, China is systematically getting wealthier and the United States is systematically getting poorer.

And now China is starting to use a lot of that wealth to aggressively expand their power and influence around the globe.

But isn't it more than a bit far-fetched to suggest that China may be planning to establish Chinese cities and special economic zones in America?

Not really.

Just look at what has already happened up in Canada.  It is well-known that the Chinese population of Vancouver, Canada has absolutely exploded in recent years.  In fact, the Vancouver suburb of Richmond is now approximately half Chinese.  The following is an excerpt from a BBC article...

Richmond is North America's most Asian city – 50% of residents here identify themselves as Chinese. But it's not just here that the Chinese community in British Columbia (BC) – some 407,000 strong – has left its mark. All across Vancouver, Chinese-Canadians have helped shape the local landscape.

A similar thing is happening in many communities along the west coast of the United States.  In fact, Chinese citizens purchased one out of every ten homes that were sold in the state of California in 2011.

But in other areas of the United States, the Chinese are approaching things much more systematically.

For example, as I have written about previously, a Chinese group identified as "Sino-Michigan Properties LLC" has purchased 200 acres of land near the town of Milan, Michigan.  Their stated goal is to build a "China City" that has artificial lakes, a Chinese cultural center and hundreds of housing units for Chinese citizens.

In other instances, large chunks of real estate in major U.S. cities that are down on their luck are being snapped up by Chinese investors.  Just check out what a Fortune article from a while back says has been happening over in Toledo, Ohio...

In March 2011, Chinese investors paid $2.15 million cash for a restaurant complex on the Maumee River in Toledo, Ohio. Soon they put down another $3.8 million on 69 acres of newly decontaminated land in the city's Marina District, promising to invest $200 million in a new residential-commercial development. That September, another Chinese firm spent $3 million for an aging hotel across a nearby bridge with a view of the minor league ballpark.

Toledo is being promoted to Chinese investors as a "5-star logistics region".  From Toledo it is very easy to get to Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Indianapolis...

With a population of 287,000, Toledo is only the fourth largest city in Ohio, but it lies at the junction of two important highways — I-75 and I-80/90. "My vision is to make Toledo a true international city," Toledo's Mayor Mike Bell told the Toledo Blade.

But some of these deals appear to be about far more than just making "investments".  According to the Idaho Statesman, a Chinese company known as Sinomach (which is actually controlled by the Chinese government) was actually interested in developing a 50 square mile self-sustaining "technology zone" south of the Boise airport...

A Chinese national company is interested in developing a 10,000- to 30,000-acre technology zone for industry, retail centers and homes south of the Boise Airport.

Officials of the China National Machinery Industry Corp. have broached the idea — based on a concept popular in China today — to city and state leaders.

The article suggested that this "technology zone" would be modeled after similar projects that already exist in China, and that Chinese officials were conducting similar negotiations with other U.S. states as well...

Sinomach is not looking only at Idaho.

The company sent delegations to Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania this year to talk about setting up research and development bases and industrial parks. It has an interest in electric transmission projects and alternative energy as well.

The technology zone proposal follows a model of science, technology and industrial parks in China — often fully contained cities with all services included.

Thankfully the deal in Idaho appears to be stalled for now, but could we soon see China establish special economic zones in other communities all around America?

The Chinese certainly do seem to be laying the groundwork for something.  They have been voraciously gobbling up important infrastructure all over the country.  The following comes from a recentAmerican Free Press article...

In addition to already owning vital ports in Long Beach, Calif. and Boston, Mass., the China Ocean Shipping Company is eyeing major ports on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico. China also owns access to ports at the entry and exit points of the Panama Canal.

And due to fiscal woes plaguing many American cities and states, U.S. legislators have been actively seeking out Chinese investors. In one of the worst cases, Baton Rouge, La., Mayor Kip Holden offered the Chinese government ownership and operating rights to a new toll way system if the Chinese would provide the funding to build it.

Does it make sense for the Chinese to own some of our most important ports?

Isn't there a national security risk?

Sadly, there isn't much of anything that our politicians won't sell these days as long as someone is willing to flash a lot of cash.

The Chinese have also been busy buying up important real estate on the east coast as a recent Forbes article explained....

According to a recent report in the New York Times, investors from China are "snapping up luxury apartments" and are planning to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on commercial and residential projects like Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn. Chinese companies also have signed major leases at the Empire State Building and at 1 World Trade Center, the report said.

But it is not only just land and infrastructure that the Chinese have been buying up.

They have also been purchasing rights to vital oil and natural gas deposits all over the United States.

There have been two Chinese companies that have been primarily involved in this effort.

The first is the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).  According to Wikipedia, CNOOC is 100 percent owned by the Chinese government...

CNOOC Group is a state-owned oil company, fully owned by the Government of the People's Republic of China, and the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) performs the rights and obligations of shareholder on behalf of the government.

The second is Sinopec Corporation.  Sinopec Group is the largest shareholder (approx. 75% ownership) in Sinopec Corporation.  And asthe Sinopec website tells us, Sinopec Group is fully owned by the Chinese government...

Sinopec Group, the largest shareholder of Sinopec Corp., is a super-large petroleum and petrochemical group incorporated by the State in 1998 based on the former China Petrochemical Corporation. Funded by the State, it is a State authorized investment arm and State-owned controlling company.

So whenever you see CNOOC or Sinopec, you can replace those names with the Chinese government.  The Chinese government essentially runs both of those companies.

And as you can see from the following list compiled by the Wall Street Journal, those two companies have been extremely aggressive in buying up rights to oil and natural gas all over the nation...

Colorado: Cnooc gained a one-third stake in 800,000 acres in northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming in a $1.27 billion pact with Chesapeake Energy Corp.

Louisiana: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 265,000 acres in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale after a broader $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.

Michigan: Sinopec gained a one-third interest in 350,000 acres in a larger $2.5 billion deal with Devon Energy.

Ohio: Sinopec acquired a one-third stake in Devon Energy's 235,000 Utica Shale acres in a larger $2.5 billion deal.

Oklahoma: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 215,000 acres in a broader $2.5 billion deal with Devon Energy.

Texas: Cnooc acquired a one-third interest in Chesapeake Energy's 600,000 acres in the Eagle Ford Shale in a $2.16-billion deal.

Wyoming: Cnooc has a one-third stake in 800,000 acres in northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming after a $1.27 billion pact with Chesapeake Energy. Sinopec gained a one-third interest in Devon Energy's 320,000 acres as part of a larger $2.5 billion deal.

Gulf of Mexico: Cnooc Ltd. separately acquired minority stakes in some of Statoil ASA's leases as well as six of Nexen Inc.'s deep-water wells.

So why is the U.S. government allowing this?

That is a very good question.

For a nation that purports to be pursuing "energy independence", we sure do have a funny way of going about things.

Unfortunately, the sad truth is that China is absolutely mopping the floor with the United States on the global economic stage.  China is rising and America is in an advanced state of decline.  Global economic power has shifted dramatically and most Americans still don't understand what has happened.

The following are 44 more signs of how dominant the economy of China has become...

1. A Chinese firm recently made a $2.6 billion offer to buy movie theater chain AMC.

2. A different Chinese firm made a $1.8 billion offer to buy aircraft maker Hawker Beechcraft.

3. In December it was announced that a Chinese group would be purchasing AIG's plane leasing unit for $4.23 billion.

4. It was recently announced that the Federal Reserve will now allow Chinese banks to buy up American banks.

5. A $190 million bridge project up in Alaska was awarded to a Chinese firm.

6. A $400 million contract to renovate the Alexander Hamilton bridge in New York was awarded to a Chinese firm.

7. A $7.2 billion contract to construct a new bridge between San Francisco and Oakland was awarded to a Chinese firm.

8. The uniforms for the U.S. Olympic team were made in China.

9. 85 percent of all artificial Christmas trees are made in China.

10. The new World Trade Center tower is going to include glass that has been imported from China.

11. The new Martin Luther King memorial on the National Mall was made in China.

12. In 2001, American consumers spent 102 billion dollars on products made in China.  In 2011, American consumers spent 399 billion dollarson products made in China.

13. The United States spends about 4 dollars on goods and services from China for every one dollar that China spends on goods and services from the United States.

14. According to the New York Times, a Jeep Grand Cherokee that costs $27,490 in the United States costs about $85,000 in China thanks to all the tariffs.

15. The Chinese economy has grown 7 times faster than the U.S. economy has over the past decade.

16. The United States has lost a staggering 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.

17. The United States has lost an average of 50,000 manufacturing jobs per month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.

18. Overall, the United States has lost a total of more than 56,000manufacturing facilities since 2001.

19. According to the Economic Policy Institute, America is losing half a million jobs to China every single year.

20. Between December 2000 and December 2010, 38 percent of the manufacturing jobs in Ohio were lost, 42 percent of the manufacturing jobs in North Carolina were lost and 48 percent of the manufacturing jobs in Michigan were lost.

21. In 2010, China produced more than twice as many automobiles as the United States did.

22. Since the auto industry bailout, approximately 70 percent of all GM vehicles have been built outside the United States.

23. After being bailed out by U.S. taxpayers, General Motors is currently involved in 11 joint ventures with companies owned by the Chinese government.  The price for entering into many of these "joint ventures" was a transfer of "state of the art technology" from General Motors to the communist Chinese.

24. Back in 1998, the United States had 25 percent of the world's high-tech export market and China had just 10 percent. Ten years later, the United States had less than 15 percent and China's share had soared to 20 percent.

25. The United States has lost more than a quarter of all of its high-tech manufacturing jobs over the past ten years.

26. China's number one export to the U.S. is computer equipment.

27. The number one U.S. export to China is "scrap and trash".

28. The U.S. trade deficit with China is now more than 28 times largerthan it was back in 1990.

29. Back in 1985, the U.S. trade deficit with China was just 6 million dollars for the entire year.  For the month of November 2012 alone, the U.S. trade deficit with China was 28.9 billion dollars.

30. China now consumes more energy than the United States does.

31. China is now the leading manufacturer of goods in the entire world.

32. China uses more cement than the rest of the world combined.

33. China is now the number one producer of wind and solar power on the entire globe.

34. Today, China produces nearly twice as much beer as the United States does.

35. Right now, China is producing more than three times as much coal as the United States does.

36. China now produces 11 times as much steel as the United States does.

37. China produces more than 90 percent of the global supply of rare earth elements.

38. China is now the number one supplier of components that are critical to the operation of U.S. defense systems.

39. A recent investigation by the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services found more than one million counterfeit Chinese parts in the Department of Defense supply chain.

40. 15 years ago, China was 14th in the world in published scientific research articles.  But now, China is expected to pass the United States and become number one very shortly.

41. China now awards more doctoral degrees in engineering each year than the United States does.

42. According to one study, the Chinese economy already has roughly the same amount of purchasing power as the U.S. economy does.

43. According to the IMF, China will pass the United States and will become the largest economy in the world in 2016.

44. Nobel economist Robert W. Fogel of the University of Chicago is projecting that the Chinese economy will be three times larger than the U.S. economy by the year 2040 if current trends continue.

Without the "globalization" of the world economy, none of this would have ever happened.  But instead of admitting our mistakes and fixing them, our politicians continue to press for even more "free trade" and even more integration with communist nations such as China.

In fact, according to Dr. Jerome Corsi, the U.S. government has already set up 257 "foreign trade zones" all over America.  These "foreign trade zones" are apparently given "special U.S. customs treatment" and are used to promote "free trade"...

Corsi noted that the U.S. government has created 257 foreign trade zones, or FTZs, throughout the United States, designed to extend special U.S. customs treatment to U.S. plants engaged in international-trade-related activities.

The FTZs tend to be located near airports, with easy access into the continental NAFTA and WTO multi-modal transportation systems being created to move free-trade goods cheaply, quickly and efficiently throughout the continent of North America.

"There is nothing in the U.S. government's description of FTZs that would prevent a foreign government, like China, from operating a shell U.S. company that is in reality owned and financed by the Chinese government and operated through a Chinese government-owned corporation," Corsi wrote.

Sadly, we are probably going to see a whole lot more of this in the years ahead.

According to Corsi, a professor of economics at Tsighua University in Beijing named Yu Qiao has suggested the following plan as a way to transform the debt that the United States owes China into something more "tangible"...
A d v e r t i s e m e n t
China would negotiate with the U.S. government to create a "crisis relief facility," or CRF. The CRF "would be used alongside U.S. federal efforts to stabilize the banking system and to invest in capital-intensive infrastructure projects such as high-speed railroad from Boston to Washington, D.C.
China would pool a portion of its holdings of Treasury bonds under the CFR umbrella to convert sovereign debt into equity. Any CFR funds that were designated for investment in U.S. corporations would still be owned and managed by U.S. equity holders, with the Asians holding minority equity shares "that would, like preferred stock, be convertible."
The U.S. government would act as a guarantor, "providing a sovereign guarantee scheme to assure the investment principal of the CRF against possible default of targeted companies or projects".
The Federal Reserve would set up a special account to supply the liquidity the CRF would require to swap sovereign debt into industrial investment in the United States.
Apparently the Bank of China really likes this plan and would like to see something like this implemented.

In the years ahead, perhaps many of you will end up working in a "special economic zone" for a Chinese company on a project that is being financially guaranteed by the U.S. government.

If that sounds like a form of slavery to you, the truth is that you are probably not too far off the mark.

The borrower is the servant of the lender, and we should have never allowed ourselves to get into so much debt.

Now we will pay the price.

To get an idea of how much the world has changed in recent years, just check out this incredible photo which contrasts the decline of Detroit over the years with the amazing rise of Shanghai, China.

Things did not have to turn out this way.  Unfortunately, we made decades of incredibly foolish decisions and we wrecked the greatest economic machine that the world has ever seen.

Now the future for America looks really bleak.

Five-Year-Old Girl Suspended For "Terroristic-threat" To Shoot Classmates With Pink Bubble Gun

Kindergartner grilled for three hours, forced to undergo psychological testing

In yet another hysterical over-reaction to last month's Sandy Hook school shooting, a girl of five-years-old has been suspended from school following a three hour grilling when she joked that she would shoot her classmates with a toy gun.

The girl, from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, was last week said to have told other children at the school that she was going to shoot them, and then herself with a pink Hello Kitty bubble gun; a toy that is filled with a soapy solution to make bubbles with.

School officials reportedly categorized the incident as a "terroristic threat," and labeled the girl's actions a "threat to harm others."

Superintendent Bernard Stellar of Mount Carmel school, who has refused to comment on the incident, at first suspended the girl for ten days, before reducing the punishment to two days. All this came after an interrogation that last several hours, at which the girl's parents were not present, according to their lawyer.

"This is a good-natured little girl," the lawyer, Robin Ficker said. "And this shows how hysterical people who work at schools have become since Sandy Hook."

"You're telling me that this child was questioned by adults, in a situation where there was no parent or parental guardian, and then she was, initially, given an incident category of 'making terrorist threats?'" Ficker asked. "And this from a 5-year-old? What's going on here? Can't kids be kids anymore?"

Ficker added that the so called "threat" came "from the mind of this beautiful 5-year-old child who was playing with her friends, whom she hugs every day".

Ficker also revealed that the girl was forced to undergo psychological testing from an independent practitioner before being allowed back into the school. He also noted that the incident will be added to the girl's permanent school record.

The parents of the girl are considering taking the matter further and may sue the school district, pending the outcome of a meeting with the district superintendent.

"All I know," said the mother, "is what my daughter has told me and she said she was told she could go to jail, which is a very traumatic thing for a 5-year-old to live with."

This may sound like a ridiculous incident, but it is not an isolated one, and magnifies how ludicrous the knee jerk reaction to the fateful December shooting has been.

Earlier this month a 6-year-old boy was suspended from his elementary school in Maryland for making a gun gesture with his hand and saying "pow".

Days later another two 6-year-olds in Maryland were suspended for pointing their fingers into gun shapes while playing "cops and robbers" with each other.

In oklahoma, a five-year-old boy was also recently suspended for making a gun gesture with his hand.

A 13-year-old Middle School seventh grade student in Pennsylvania was also suspended for the same hand gesture.

"No Obvious Reason" Why China Is Stockpiling Rice, Iron Ore, Precious Metals, Dry Milk

Mac Slavo
SHTFPlan.com
January 11, 2013

If there were ever a sign that something is amiss, this may very well be it.

United Nations agricultural experts are reporting confusion, after figures show that China imported 2.6 million tons of rice in 2012, substantially more than a four-fold increase over the 575,000 tons imported in 2011.

The confusion stems from the fact that there is no obvious reason for vastly increased imports, since there has been no rice shortage in China. The speculation is that Chinese importers are taking advantage of low international prices, but all that means is that China's own vast supplies of domestically grown rice are being stockpiled.

Why would China suddenly be stockpiling millions of tons of rice for no apparent reason?

Perhaps it's related to China's aggressive military buildup and war preparations in the Pacific and in central Asia.

If a 400% year-over-year increase in rice stockpiles isn't enough to convince you the Chinese are preparing for a significant near-term event, consider that in Australia the country's two major baby formula distributors have reported they are unable to keep up with demand for their dry milk formula products. Grocery stores throughout the country have been left empty of the essential infant staple as a result of bulk exports by the Chinese.

A surge in sales of one of Australia's most popular brands of infant formula has led to an unusual sight for this wealthy nation: barren shelves in the baby aisle and even rationing of baby food in some leading retail outlets.

We'd be more apt to believe the Chinese were panic-buying baby formula had the Chinese milk scandal occurred recently. The problem is that it happened four years ago. Are we to believe the Chinese are just now realizing their baby food may be tainted?

In addition to the apparent build-up in food stocks, the Chinese are further diversifying their cash assets (denominated in US Dollars) into physical goods. In fact, in just a single month in 2012, the Chinese imported and stockpiled more gold than the entirety of the gold stored in the vaults of the European Central Bank (and did we mention they did this in one month?).

Their precious metals stockpiles have grown so quickly in recent years that Chinese official holdings remain a complete mystery to Western governments and it's rumored that the People's Republic may now be the second largest gold hoarding nation in the world, behind the United States.

We won't know for sure until the official disclosure which will come when China is ready and not a moment earlier, but at the current run-rate of accumulation which is just shy of 1,000 tons per year, it is certainly within the realm of possibilities that China is now the second largest holder of gold in the world, surpassing Germany's 3,395 tons and second only to the US.

But the Chinese aren't just buying precious metals. They're rapidly acquiring industrial metals as well.

Spot iron prices are up to an almost 15-month high at $153.90 per tonne. The rally in prices, which started in December 2012, is mainly due to China's rebuilding of its stockpiles as the Asian giant gears to boost its economy, which in turn, could improve steel demand.

The official explanation, that China is preparing stockpiles in anticipation of an economic recovery, is quite amusing considering that just 8 months ago Reuters reported that China had an oversupply, so much so that their storage facilities had run out of room to store all the inventory!

When metals warehouses in top consumer China are so full that workers start stockpiling iron ore in granaries and copper in car parks, you know the global economy could be in trouble.

At Qingdao Port, home to one of China's largest iron ore terminals, hundreds of mounds of iron ore, each as tall as a three-storey building, spill over into an area signposted "grains storage" and almost to the street.

Further south, some bonded warehouses in Shanghai are using carparks to store swollen copper stockpiles – another unusual phenomenon that bodes ill for global metal prices and raises questions about China's ability to sustain its economic growth as the rest of the world falters.

Now, why would China be stockpiling even more iron (and setting 15 month price highs in the process) if they had massive amounts of excess inventory just last year?

Something tells us this has nothing to do with an economic recovery, or even economic theory in terms of popular mainstream analysis.

Why does China need four times as much rice year-over-year? Why purchase more iron when you already have a huge surplus? Why buy gold when, as Federal Reserve Chairmen Ben Bernanke suggests, it is not real money? Why build massive cities capable of housing a million or more people, and then keep them empty?

It doesn't add up. None of it makes any sense.

Unless the Chinese know something we haven't been made privy to.

Is it possible, in a world where hundreds of trillions of dollars are owed, where the United States indirectly controls most of the globe's oil reserves, and where super powers have built tens of thousands of nuclear weapons and spent hundreds of billions on weapons of war (real ones, not those pesky semi-automatic assault rifles), that the Chinese expect things to take a turn for the worse in the near future?

The Chinese are buying physical assets – and not just representations of those assets in the form of paper receipts – but the actual physical commodities. And they are storing them in-country. Perhaps they've determined that U.S. and European debt are a losing proposition and it's only a matter of time before the financial, economic and monetary systems of the West undergo a complete collapse.

At best, what these signs indicate is that the People's Republic of China is expecting the value of currencies ( they have trillions in Western currency reserves) will deteriorate with respect to physical commodities. They are stocking up ahead of the carnage and buying what they can before their savings are hyper-inflated away.

At worst, they may very well be getting ready for what geopolitical analyst Joel Skousen warned of in his documentary Strategic Relocation, where he argued that some time in the next decade the Chinese and Russians may team up against the United States in a thermo-nuclear showdown.

Hard to believe? Maybe.

But consider that China is taking measures now, in addition to their stockpiling, that suggest we are already in the opening salvos of World War III. They have already taken steps to map our entire national grid – that includes water, power, refining, commerce and transportation infrastructure. They're directly involved in hacking government and commercial networks and are responsible for what has been called the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of the world. Militarily, the PRC has been developing technology like EMP weapons systems, capable of disabling our military fleets and the electrical infrastructure of the country as a whole, and has been caught red-handed manufacturing fake computer chips used in U.S. Navy weapons systems.

If you still doubt China's intentions and expectations, look to other governments, including our own, for signs that someone, somewhere is planning for horrific worst-case scenarios:

The Russians have scheduled 5,000 underground bunkers for completion this year.
Europe rapidly designed, built and stocked the so-called Doomsday Seed Vault in Svalbard, Norway, which contains tens of thousands of varieties of seeds and is supposed to preserve them in the event of Armageddon style events like asteroid impacts or nuclear war.
The United States government has been stockpiling tens of millions of emergency meals and other supplies and regionalizing their emergency distribution centers across the country (curiously, those supplies never made it to Hurricane Sandy victims)
The government has purchased nearly 2 billion rounds of ammunition in the last few years.
The Pentagon has been Actively War Gaming 'Large Scale Economic Breakdown' and 'Civil Unrest'
China recently made a call, through their Xinhua news agency, for the complete disarmament of the American population (Behind every blade of grass...)
Perhaps there's a reason why former Congressman Roscoe Bartlett has warned, "those who can, should move their families out of the city."

As Kyle Bass noted in a recent speech, "it's just a question of when will this unravel and how will it unravel."

Given how similar events have played out in history, we think you know how this ends.

It ends through war.

Governments around the world are stockpiling food, supplies, precious metals and arms, suggesting that there is foreknowledge of an impending event.

Should we be doing the same?

Sandy Hook Shooting: Active-Shooter Drill Confirmed by Law Enforcement Raises Suspicion of False Flag Operation

Shepard Ambellas & Alex Thomas
theintelhub.com
January 13, 2013

Once again a government funded mock emergency drill was being conducted at a nearby local school at the very same time the supposed realtime shooting was taking place at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut – leaving all the fingerprints of a government staged false flag event to strip guns from the American people.

Many people involved in responding to the Newtown school shooting have been shown to be participants in active shooter drills either in the past or on the very day of the shooting. To top it all off, there are still many inconsistencies in the official story.

One of the noticeable problems with the official story is that alleged shooting suspect Adam Lanza's car was identified as a black Honda Civic, Connecticut plate number 872 YEO which is registered to a one Christopher A Rodia (born August 1969), totally discrediting the official story.

How would such information get covered up?

Let's take a look at John Blawie, a Connecticut State Superior Court Judge who has been putting a halt on search warrant affidavits.

An excerpt from the local CT Post reads;

DANBURY — A state Superior Court judge said Thursday that search warrant affidavits for the cars and home of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza and his mother would stay sealed for another 90 days.

Judge John Blawie granted motions filed Wednesday by Danbury State's Attorney Stephen Sedensky to extend the statutory sealing period for the five warrants, including three for the Yogonanda Street home where the 20-year-old Lanza fatally shot his mother, Nancy, four times in the face on the morning of Dec. 14, before embarking on the rampage that left 20 first-graders and six educators dead.

Why would evidence be withheld from an event that has been publicized in the mainstream media as the worst school shooting ever? What is wrong with this picture?

Police Intrigue

Adding t the intrigue, Lt. Paul Vance of the Connecticut State Police (the man responsible for avoiding important questions to the press regarding the Sandy Hook shooting) has gotten a recent promotion (which he admitted himself on camera) for what he said he heard was going to be a  "sold out show".

Vance has also trained on several occasions for mock school active-shooter drills. Vance is a seasoned spokesman and is well trained at talking with the press and members of the media.

Vance was quoted at the Sandy Hook press conference saying, "We've been asked by the family members to ask the members of the press to respect their privacy and to please leave them alone at this time," he told the media scrum. "I'm pleading with you, as you know this is an extremely heartbreaking, difficult thing for these folks to endure. Please abide by their request."

An excerpt from a local publication details the fact that an active-shooter drill was indeed taking place during the actual event known as the Newtown or Sandy Hook Schools Shooting, thus signifying all of the classic signs of a false flag operation.

The Southeast-Brewster Patch reported on December 18, 2012;

In the years following the infamous school shooting incident at Columbine, Colorado, law enforcement agencies and local school districts in Putnam County and across America developed plans and protocols to safeguard against and respond to similar acts of school violence. Since Columbine, new tactics and training have been devised and implemented for law enforcement officers for responding to situations of active shooters in schools.

By grim coincidence, even as the terrible events were unfolding in Newtown on Friday morning, the Putnam County Emergency Response Team ("ERT") happened to be assembled for regular training in Carmel, and team members were at that very moment engaged in a mock scenario of an active-shooter in a school.

The ERT is comprised of specially trained and heavily armed officers from the Sheriff's Office and the Carmel and Kent Police Departments.

When news broke of the Newtown shooting, the Putnam County ERT commander called Newtown Police and offered to have the ERT respond to the Sandy Hook school, but that response was not needed because Connecticut police had already secured the scene.

As information circulated about the Newtown violence, the Sheriff's Office notified school district officials in Putnam County.

The Sheriff's Office and local police departments dispatched patrols to establish a security presence at area elementary schools and to augment the security already in place at most of the high schools and middle schools in the County, where deputy sheriffs are regularly assigned as school resource officers ("SROs").

Over the weekend, too, the Sheriff's Office coordinated with local government officials to provide deputies and plainclothes investigators for security at several civic events throughout the county.

Others including a Florida professor with a PHD have came out saying allot of what the media is reporting is simply not accurate and that cris actors might have been used. Anderson Cooper even recently responded to what the mainstream is calling conspiracy theory, while others say the Sandy Hook shooting victims demand a fair and in depth investigation. The fact remains that crisis actors do exist, there is even an official websitecrisisactors.org that specializes in active-shooter drills and other scenarios. In fact they issued a statement on their website on January 9, 2013 reading;

We are outraged by Florida Atlantic University Professor James Tracy's deliberate promotion of rumor and innuendo to link Crisis Actors to the Sandy Hook shootings of December 14, 2012. We do not engage our actors in any real-world crisis events, and none of our performances may be presented at any time as a real-world event. James Tracy's so-called research is copied almost verbatim from a tightly connected group of hate blogs and YouTube channels that use only one another as sources. From the thousands of comments of these sites' devoted followers, one thing is clear. They are nothing but thrill-seekers using any pretext to vent their irrational hate against the Sandy Hook community and a nation of mourners.

The website also boasts a creepy picture from a Columbine active-shooter drill that just looks ominous in nature, needless to say.

There seems to be a pattern here not only with events like 9/11, and the London Bombing on 7/7, but in recent days. Fox News reported;

Minutes before a gunman walked into a California high school, students and teachers had been practicing what to do if the school came under an attack.

"Just 10 minutes before it happened, our teachers were giving us protocol because of what happened in Connecticut," Oscar Nuno, a student at Taft High School said.

A 16-year-old student armed with a shotgun walked into his first period science class Thursday and opened fire, wounding a classmate he claimed had bulled him. Video surveillance shows the suspect entering the building through a side door.

He fired two more rounds at students, reportedly missing a second target, as they fled the class, and then faced a well-liked teacher Ryan Heber, MyFoxLA.com reported.

"I don't want to shoot you," he told Heber as the teacher tried to convince the student to put down the gun.

Police credit Heber with causing enough of a distraction to allow a majority of the students to escape the classroom through a back door unharmed.

The student hit by the gunshot is in critical but stable condition and is expected to undergo surgery Friday. Three others are injured, including a student who may have suffered hearing damage after being too close to the shotgun blast, MyFoxLA.com reported.

An announcement over the speaker system said the school was under lockdown "and it was not a drill."

School officials say there is usually an armed guard on campus, but the person was absent because he was snowed in.

Active shooter drills are popping up everywhere now at schools around the country. In fact the next one is this coming Monday in Henderson Texas. A local report reads;

On Monday local law enforcement will start training for something they hope never happens.

Department of Public Safety state trooper Sgt. Ricky White contacted Henderson Independent School District in November about using one of the district's vacant campuses for an active shooter exercise.

Project Longevity

This is where it starts to get extremely weird.

A little more than two weeks before the Sandy Hook Shooting, Attorney General Eric Holder was in Connecticut meeting with Governor Dannel Malloy to discuss the launch of a new project aimed at what was described at the time as the, "sticky issue of gun violence."

The initiative, was aptly named Project Longevity and boasted a variety of goals all supposedly aimed at curbing what Holder described as increasing gun violence in Connecticut and throughout the country.

The Huffington Post reported;

The initiative, known as Project Longevity, will send new federal grant money to Connecticut and involve agents, academics and social workers working for or with the FBI and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy are scheduled to discuss the plans at a news conference in New Haven, Connecticut, at 11 a.m. (1600 GMT).

Malloy, a Democrat, in June adopted a strategy known as "focused deterrence" that targets a small number of suspects who are under the supervision of probation officers or otherwise well known to law enforcement.

The model, which emphasizes education and other services for those suspects, as well as community meetings, has been credited with reducing violence in Boston and elsewhere.

Federal help for the effort is welcome even if Obama is not making a push to change laws that make guns easily available in much of the country, said Ron Pinciaro, executive director of Connecticut Against Gun Violence.

The corporate media immediately labeled the project not what Obama's supporters wanted when he promised gun control in his second term.

It will not be the gun control launch that some of President Barack Obama's supporters hoped for after Obama won a second four-year term in a Nov. 6 election.

A press release by the initiative was published in an article by Connecticut local mainstream news outlet WTNH. (Emphasis mine)

PROJECT LONGEVITY LAUNCHED TO REDUCE  GANG AND GUN VIOLENCE IN CONNECTICUT'S CITIES

Government Officials, Community Members, Service Providers and Law Enforcement Join Forces in Statewide Anti-Violence Initiative
New Haven, Conn. – Attorney General Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney David Fein and Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy joined members of law enforcement, public officials, social service providers, community leaders and researchers in New Haven today to launch "Project Longevity," a comprehensive initiative to reduce gun violence in Connecticut's major cities.

Project Longevity uses a strategy that has shown violence can be reduced dramatically when community members and law enforcement join together to directly engage with these groups and clearly communicate a community message against violence, a law enforcement message about the consequences of further violence and an offer of help for those who want it.

To accomplish this, law enforcement, social service providers and community members are recruited, assembled and trained to engage in a sustained relationship with violent groups.

"Project Longevity will send a powerful message to those who would commit violent crimes targeting their fellow citizens that such acts will not be tolerated and that help is available for all those who wish to break the cycle of violence and gang activity," said Attorney General Holder.

"Today's announcement underscores our commitment to working together – across levels of government and jurisdictional boundaries – to protect the American people from the crime that threatens too many neighborhoods and claims far too many innocent lives."

Project Longevity is based on a model that has been successful in reducing gun violence in multiple neighborhoods across the country and represents the first time the strategy is being implemented statewide.

"On the state level, I have directed my administration to focus our criminal justice resources on urban violence," Governor Malloy said. "We agree that no strategy will be effective without the support of the community.

This means parents, clergy, neighborhood leaders, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles – everyone working toward one goal. We are working to regain the trust of the African American and Latino communities. We need their help. The lives of these young people are too valuable not to act."

You Can Read the Whole Press Release Here

So just two weeks before the Sandy Hook Shooting, Holder was in the area pushing a form of gun control but clearly not happy that the project was so low key instead of some sort of ban on certain weapons and so forth. (what we are seeing in the present)

The Governor then made a statement that is extremely suspicious.

"The community needs to show a little more outrage on these things and demand that it be a top priority," Pinciaro said."That will be more useful than another law right now.

Another interesting observation shows Governor Malloy at a press conference. Governor Malloy states in the video, "The Lt. Governor and I have been spoken too in an attempt that we might be prepared for something like this playing itself out in our state".

Several times in the video the Governor refers to the scenario as playing, like a role play or drill almost.

Corporate Media Goes on the Attack

Fast forwarding to the present, we have seen a large scale media attack on the 2nd Amendment and now, in a startling turn of events, elements of the corporate media are literally attacking those who question the shooting.

When you consider the fact that the corporate media has absolutely been complicit in the Sandy Hook Shooting, it makes sense that they would send an elitist Vanderbilt (Anderson Cooper) to broadcast one of the most hardcore segments of shilling the corporate media has ever conducted.

In the broadcast, Cooper repeatedly states that if it wasn't for his show no one would even be seeing the crazy conspiracy theories he is exposing yet if that was the case a CNN prime time show would never spend multiple segments to debunk something no one has ever seen in the first place.

Cooper then proceeded to attempt to debunk point by point many different theories on the shooting that have been read by millions in the alternative media.

Specifically, the professor from Florida who has spoken out in regards to the numerous anomalies was directly attacked by Cooper due to the fact that it is much harder to label a professor at a university as some lone crazy on the internet.

It is also interesting to mention that Cooper spent a large chunk of time attacking the claim that crisis management actors were used in conjunction with fake news media broadcasts.

The idea that Cooper has never heard of something like that is completely and utterly absurd, especially when you consider the infamous fake CNN Gulf War broadcast.

In the latter part of the shillcast, Cooper had on two known new world order shills in an attempt to make it sound like the entire idea of a new world order or false flag terror is just completely 100% ludicrous.

Towards the end, the daughter of the principle who was apparently killed in the shooting also called in to voice here anger and add in details that seemed to once again attempt to directly counter points made in the alternative media.

Clearly, the use of the corporate media to attack honest questions in regards to the Sandy Hook shootings shows that the alternative media is indeed making major leeway when it comes to finding out the facts in the case.

Anderson Cooper is a known CIA asset and pushes CIA COINTEL on the American People. Wikipedia even admits that Cooper is affiliated with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) reading;

During college, Cooper spent two summers as an intern at the Central Intelligence Agency. Although he technically has no formal journalistic education, he opted to pursue a career in journalism rather than stay with the agency after school,[13] having been a self-proclaimed "news junkie" since he was "in utero."[14] After his first correspondence work in the early 1990s, he took a break from reporting and lived in Vietnam for a year, during which time he studied theVietnamese language at the University of Hanoi.[15]

Reposted from the Coffee Shop
Seeing as how some people don't go into the Coffee Shop, I'd thought I would repost this here as well.

I was wondering how many more people would attend the Elk County Commissioners meetings, if those meetings were scheduled at a time when most folks were not at work?

I have a question for anybody that can provide a logical answer....

Over the last couple of years it seems that our county has taken a strange turn.  Used to be that when faced with a challenge the people of the community would come together and come up with a solution to whatever problem faced them.  However, recently this has not been the case.  Meetings meant to gain the opinions and insights of our citizens have had to be steered in certain directions.  Leaving the impression that the "solution" has already been pre-determined.  This point is illustrated by the fact that various community leaders seem to be unqualified or unable to lead a simple discussion and need help to "facilitate" these discussions and meetings.

So my question is why are these community leaders still holding the job if they are unable to do it?  Are our school board officials unable to ask our community what it thinks should happen with our schools?  Are our elected commissioners unable to ask questions of the voting public?  Is the "good ole' boy" system so ingrained within this county that we are unable to see that we are being "taken for a ride" where our tax dollars and elected officals are concerned?

Just a few questions that I would like honest answers for.  Thank you.

It's Official: Presidency Now a Dictatorship

Obama's latest outrageous violation of the laws of the United States demonstrate that the nation has arrived at its destination: a dictatorship lorded over by an imperial ruler.

On Friday, Obama instructed the government to ignore an influx of illegal aliens streaming over the border. The move was implemented to sway Latino voters into the Obama camp in preparation for the upcoming election against fellow establishment candidate Mitt Romney.

Obama's violations of law and the Constitution make his predecessor look like a piker by way of comparison. Since he was voted into office by deluded citizens who believed he would pay for their rent and food, Obama has enacted by fiat or worked with Congress to pass a number of bills that have increased the power of the executive and the unconstitutional authority of the federal government.

National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

This monstrous statute allows the government to circumvent the Fifth Amendment. The NDAA gives the government the authority to designate American citizens as terrorists and indefinitely detain them without recourse to courts or due process of law and without specific charge.

"Permit me to state the obvious," writes Sheldon Richman. "The government shouldn't be allowed to imprison people indefinitely without charge or trial. It shouldn't be necessary to say this nearly 800 years after Magna Carta was signed and over 200 years after the Fifth Amendment was ratified."

Chapter 39 of the Magna Carta states that "[n]o free man shall be taken or imprisoned or disseized or exiled or in any way destroyed, nor will we go upon him nor send upon him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land." The concept of due process first appeared in English common law in 1354 and inspired the Fifth Amendment more than 400 years later.

The time honored principle that the state must try citizens in a court of law is now dead – and with surprisingly little resistance from our supposed representatives.

Unconstituntional Wars

Not only did Obama continue and amplify Bush's unconstitutional, illegal and immoral wars against nations that did not present a danger to the United States, he also initiated an overt war of his own in Libya (under NATO cover). He did not go to Congress and seek a declaration as required under Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. Instead, he used the fig leaf of the United Nations to cover his illegal action.

In May, the Secretary of War, Leon Panetta, said Obama will "seek international permission" to launch new wars." He declared the "commander in chief has the authority to take action that involves the vital interests of this country" without consulting the American people.

In March, Rep. Walter Jones, a North Carolina Republican, introduced H. Concurrent Resolution 107, which calls on the House, the Senate Concurring, to prevent Obama from starting another war without authorization from Congress. It has since languished in committee.

Obamacare

Obama's health care mandate forcing Americans to buy insurance from large monopolistic corporations represents the height of his arrogance and contempt for the American people and the Constitution.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 of the Constitution is known as the Commerce Clause. It states that "Congress shall have the power... to regulate commerce with foreign nations, among the several states and with the Indian tribes." It does not permit the government to force you to buy insurance from a government preferred and protected monopoly.

In Federalist No. 45, James Madison wrote that the clause spells out that the powers delegated to the federal government are "few and defined," while those left to the states "are numerous and indefinite," although you wouldn't know that if you listen to Democrats and far too many of their Republican colleagues.

The original intent of the Commerce Clause was to facilitate commerce between the states and prevent tariffs, quotas and taxes. It was not designed to help a lumbering and dictatorial federal government force "mandates" on the people at gunpoint.

A
Our supposed representatives are wholly ignorant of the Constitution and its unmistakable principles of limited government intervention. Rep. Nancy Pelosi made this clear when she was asked if the Constitution grants Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate.

"Are you serious?" she responded, demonstrating her complete ignorance of the Constitution.

Following legal challenges to the law and its consideration before the highest court, Obama threatened to cut off Medicare payments if the Supreme Court does not rule in his favor.

Treaties

Obama has shown his contempt for the law, Congress, and the people by negotiating globalist treaties.

He would subvert the American judicial process by implementing the International Criminal Court. It will ultimately be used against American citizens. Professor Charles Rice of Notre Dame University Law School has stated that we will be confronted by "a monster" that effectively "repudiates the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence."

The Law of the Sea Treaty will create another international bureaucracy that will limit the sovereignty of the United States and impose globalist regulations. "The autonomy of the United States is threatened if we allow our domestic laws to be crafted by an international body that is not accountable to the American people," writes Julie Borowski. "The U.N. is openly hostile to our national sovereignty and republican form of government. The ratification of LOST [Law of the Sea Treaty] would open up a Pandora's Box of problems. It would impose global taxes and regulations that cripple economic growth while exposing ourselves to high-stakes environmental lawsuits."

The Small Arms Treaty would circumvent the Second Amendment, the cornerstone of the Bill of Rights. If ratified, it will impose even tougher licensing requirements, confiscate and destroy all "unauthorized" civilian firearms, ban semiautomatic weapons, create an international gun registry, and override our cherished national sovereignty.

Startling details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership were revealed earlier this week in a leaked document. This treaty would allow transnational corporations to skirt American banking, investment, environmental and labor laws. The laws would still apply to corporations based in the United States, however. "The leaked document shows that in all of the major respects, this is exactly the same template that was used in NAFTA and other agreements that President Obama campaigned against," Todd Tucker, the research director of Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch division, told Slate.

Flurry of Executive Orders

Although he lied and said he would not issue executive orders, Obama has signed a large number of them:

Council of Governors. "An Obama executive order that creates a council of state governors who will work with the feds to expand military involvement in domestic security, together with PDD 51, a Bush era executive order that gives the President dictatorial power in times of national emergency, eliminate the last roadblocks to declaring martial law in the United States," Paul Joseph Watson summarized in January of 2010.

National Defense Resources Preparedness: This EO, signed in March of 2012, renews and updates Obama's authority to seize control of all civil energy supplies, including oil and natural gas, and control and restrict all civil transportation. It essentially reaffirms a large number of FEMA-related executive orders issued since the national security state was installed in 1947 and is another element in an intricate structure that will enable martial law at the president's discretion.

Less significant – although equally unconstitutional – executive orders include creating a council on bioethics, implementing a policy on space exploration, creating a mathematics advisory panel, and numerous other issues that should be addressed by Congress.

Advanced Effort to Kill the Constitution

From the Department of Justice's high-handed attempt to prevent Arizona from protecting its borders to restrictive EPA rules that impose unreasonably burdensome financial costs on the states, Obama's federal government has turned into a tyrannical leviathan dictating policy and law at gunpoint.

Since the reign of Bush, the federal government has shifted into high gear the effort to degrade and dilute the separation of powers. Obama was installed precisely to oversee the further destruction of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and empower the imperial presidency.

His latest move to further weaken the immigration laws of the United States is simply more evidence that the federal government will continue to run roughshod over the Constitution and the natural rights of the American people, an incremental plan implemented by the elite that is now approaching its zenith

Wake up folks, its time to start paying attention to what is happening in our world. As painful as it is to realize that what we have been sold and many of us believe is nothing more than propaganda, we have to.

Politics / Simply Amazing..
April 06, 2011, 04:23:59 AM
I find it utterly amazing that most people in this country, Left, Right, and Middle, just don't get it.  All of the arguing over politics and such, this canidate v. that canidate, this policy v. that policy, don't amount to a hill of beans.  Our entire system is so screwed that those things SIMPLY DO NOT MATTER!  The buzz word of the day seems to be money.  We argue over how much, why, and where we spend it.  Without realizing what it is that we are aruging over.  Bits and pieces of paper that are worth...you ready for this...NOTHING!!  Our federal reserve notes are not backed by anything.  Not gold, sliver, or even lead for that matter,  they are backed by credit.  You got that?  Our money is backed by something immaterial..an idea..something that basically doesn't exist.  Yet we spend our whole lives working our asses off trying to get as much of it as possible, we fight wars over it, hell we've reached a point that now we even say that a pile of it big enough is worth a human life.  I mean, really how sick is that?

Politics / Just a few tips...
January 06, 2011, 09:37:30 AM
Before I even get started...I now some (if not a lot) of folks on here think I'm paranoid or nuts or whatever, and thats fine.  I'm okay with it.  That being said I started this thread in order to put out a few ideas and tips for folks who know whats coming.  I hope that I'm wrong about our future, but my gut tells me I'm not.

There has been a lot of talk on the radio and in the news and by bloggers about how to prepare for the worst case sceniro.  And thats all well and good so long as you don't lose focus on the ultimate objective, which is simply to survive, everything else is secondary to that. Having a secure location stocked with food, medical supplies, weapons and ammo is always a good idea.  But it is not taking the worst possible scenario into consideration.  Lets say the SHTF and you have to go to your bunker.  "No big deal" you say, you're all set.  You have plenty of food, water, supplies to last you and your family for a long time, great!  But what happens when that location is comprimised?  Best case...you have time to stock up some provisions for "the road".  Worst case...you have to leave NOW.  Hopefully, you have planned for this.  You've taken the time to outfit yourself with a pack containing a weeks worth of food, some basic medical stuffs, weapons and ammo.  If you have a family each member has their own pack.  If not, well...you're screwed.

BUG OUT PACK

Food--Putting to much focus into building a "bunker" or shelter is just as bad as not being prepared at all.  Stocking up on canned goods is a good thing but don't neglect the dry goods.  Canned foods while easy to prepare or cook, also add up weight wise real quick making it difficult to travel with them.  Dry goods (beans, pastas, etc) are easy to store and don't take up a lot of room, but require water to cook.  Nuts, dry cereal, grainola bars, jerky, dehydrated fruits, are much easier to travel with and can be eaten on the run.  Now bear in mind that we're not talking about three course meals here.  You want to take enough food to keep you alive and moving not fat and happy.  You'd be surprised at how little food you actually need.  A handfull of trail mix and a few pieces of jerky and your good for the day.  Army Ranger school canidates live off of one MRE a day, ain't too happy about it, but it can be done.  Point being, the lighter the food the more you can pack.

The Coffee Shop / Longton Ball Field
December 14, 2010, 08:44:47 PM
To all Longton Citizens

It has come to my attention that recently the City of Longton "donated" close to $5000.00 for renovations of the ball field.  Barring the fact that the streets are in sorry shape and no money can be found for their repair, a donation of 5k for the ball field should be enough for anyone living in Longton to become upset.  However, after viewing some of the work done I would think that the "upset" point would be passed and now moving well into the Angry phase.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that when constructing anything with cinder blocks that there need to be at least a 1/4in of mortar between bricks?  I observed in several locations on the new grandstand several "dry" joints between bricks.  Also, when building something I always thought it a good idea to employ the use of a level.  So far it is beyond obvious that the architects working on the ball field did not use one.   Also, I wouldn't think that using broken or damaged blocks would be a good idea.  Apparently, the folks working on the grandstand do not share my beliefs on this.

I would also like to point out that when installing the plumbing in a structure with a concrete floor (also known as a slab) said plumbing should be made to have at least a 1/4 bead worth of grade.  Or for those not using a level (bad idea when plumbing by the way) that would be a 1/4in of downward slope per each foot of length of pipe.  Thus ensuring that the waste water and material will drain.  In other words, your drain line should slope AWAY form your plumbing fixture (i.e. sink, commode, e.t.c.) not the other way around.  Again, I must be alone on this one too.  I won't even get into the vent situation...needless to say...it ain't gonna work.

In short, the citizens of Longton should take a stroll to the new ball field and see how their tax dollars are being (pardon the pun here) flushed away.
