1 snake --- Rolla ---- Ball Python approx. 10 months old...This one actually belongs to my husband's son and hopefully won't
be a permanent guest
Lets hear about ya'lls animals (children should not be counted ;D)
How about husbands? LOL
My pet is Colonel, the biggest German Shepard I have ever had. He is mostly black, has a huge head, and weighs around 103 pounds. At least he did the last time I took him to the vet. He is spoiled, but I love him anyway. Probably love him more then I love Jim. At least that is what Jim says to me. LOL
Here is Kjell and Colonel. Kjell used to walk every evening and come by and get Colonel. They are the best of friends.
Three dogs:
Bingo - Part minature Dachschund some other stuff mix, approximately 4 years old 9 1/2 lbs, chestnut color with a scruffy little beard, a definite Mamma's boy.
Chloe - Jack Russell Terrier, 8 months old, white with tan mask, white freckled nose and one big brown spot on her left side.
Maya - 1/2 Lab and 1/2 Chesapeake Bay Retriever, chestnut color, beautiful eyes. My protector and baby sitter.
There is a picture posted of them on another thread about pets.

Thank you very much. I think so too.
I have a fox or rat terrier.
He is around 10 years old and since I have had him just a year and a half.....don't know for sure.
But, Doctor Black thinks he is this.
I have had lots of cats and dogs.........but this dog doesn't like cats and I don't think I will get a second one.
Scooter is just plenty.
Kind of fills in for a male partner. Snores and when I let him on bed, hogs the whole thing.
He does get me up and out for exercise........one very nice thing is that I can put him outside when he ticks me off.
He was very glad to see me yesterday when I picked him up.
I want to know what the "other" vote is in the poll....
I'm thinking it must be either
1. a favorite vehicle
2. a pet rock
3. a pet spider
4. Janet's husband Jim
Marty used to name his vehicles & talk to and about them like pets. A spider would last just long enough for me to find a big cowboy boot to smash it with, and I never thought too much about the pet rock fad. Husbands now, require a lot of care & feeding and definitely should qualify as "other".
How about hamsters, gerbils and whistle pigs, rabbits and chinchillas or ferrets.
Yep, my husband Jim would be an other. He is everybody's pet.

Oh yes, I forgot about rodents. There's even some crazy people that make pets out of skunks and armadillos! And I guess Ellie May had Chimps and Coons and all sorts of wild animals tamed.
I had considered pigs of various shapes & sizes all livestock ~ not much ham on them little ones though. JUST KIDDING! ;D Please don't egg my house!

thats waht the "other" option is for
Rat/fox terrier; Biscuit. He's about 1-1/2 years old. He HATES squirrels. And the UPS guy. And Don and Shelby's dogs that came to visit... once.
One cat; Flop (given name: Willie). He's about 2 years old. Very LAZY (thus the new name). But for a lazy cat, he sure gets a lot of birds, toads, mice, etc. He's hopefully getting some new friends soon, too.
Both outdoor FARM dog/cat. (But they still get spoiled; Julia said Chuck's gonna have to lay off giving Beggin Strips treats every day.)
3 cats: Benji (7 year old gray Egyptian Mau), Bailey (3 year old Flame Point Siamese) and Belle (9 year old gray tabby)
1 dog: Brianna (white American Eskimo)
1 snake: Beau (6' Dumeril's Boa Constrictor)
We are down to one old long haired cat, Garfield. He has outlasted a three legged Chihuahua mutt named Chico and a Cocker Spaniel named Lady Diana. Another dog, half German Shepherd and half Great Pyrennees has moved to my son's house. Her name is Fraudona.
We have Squirt, an 8 year old terrier mix. We were told that she was half Jack Russel & half cocker spaniel, but she looks more like an 8 week old pointer pup. She loves to chase rodents of all shapes & sizes, also possums & armadillos when she can. She was an outside dog till we moved to Howard, where she magically house-trained herself while I had her here to keep me company a couple months while I was painting & getting ready to move in. She LOVES Howard.
Puppy is our 15 year old cat. She is unique, as all cats are ;). She, also, looks much younger than her true age, but is starting to act more cantankerous than usual. She goes in and out of the house at will, and always finds the warmest place to sleep.
We also have 382 guppies and 3 albino corey cats. They are pretty quiet most of the time. I won't list their names but here's a picture of some of them (It's hard to get everyone together for a photo, you know?)
Actually, the fish aquarium belongs to Clay. We just babysit while he's at college. He is Squirt's boy too, but since I give her more car rides than he does, she hangs out with me a lot.
Joanna,
I can't believe you won't share the names of the guppies. ROTFLMAO
Time To Dig Out All Those Winter Clothes!
These are Roma Jean's babies...
This is Bingo in his winter sweater, with Chloe in the picture as well.
I appreciate good dog flesh, and this is some of that! Wonderful babies! Thanks for sharing!
With ketchup or steak sauce? :) Seriously, they sure are cute.
Good dogs go with anything! Ours are always around when there are eats. ;D ;D

He´s pretty nice, absolutely wonderful...103 pounds? ...must be around 50 kilogramm...my shepherds weight is 47 kilogramm...but he looks not so athletic as Colonel.
I stopped that nice hobby for six years ago and will start a new try, if Ian is getting a bit older.
Discus fishes needs a lot of work, consideration, calmness in front of the tank and they love it quiet.
Not really the right pets for a household with a six years old conqueror. :)
Brisko and his girlfriend Kaya, she´s an irish wolfhound and often a bit moody.
...but that´s not really a problem, he´s also often grumpy.
The 1st picture of Kaya ( and I love the name) looks like she is looking off in the distance and smiling..
Gorgeous dogs..
Brisko is beautiful. Now, I have to put a picture of Colonel on here.
Whoops. I already did. ;D
But here are 2 more.
This was when Kjell had him at nights taking him with him to walk.
He loves Kjell.. :)
What a handsome boy!!!!!!!!
Too bad I didn't get a picture of the most unusual colored SKUNK we had visit last night. He was HUGE and his tail was beautiful colored gray. I got a GOOD look at him, as he tried to attack me through the basement door! I was trying to shoo him away from the house through the glass door, and he kept attacking the door! It took a couple minutes, but he finally took off away from the house... and my sniper got him from the porch (sorry, but vermits are NOT welcome at our house). He left his "calling card" though; about knocked Chuck over as he went out to carry him away from the house so he wouldn't continue spraying (the damage had already been done). OMG. Horriffic. I taped all around the door so the smell wouldn't leak in the house so bad. I sprayed almost a full bottle of frebreeze, and have candles lit down there today. Luckily, it hasn't got into the house too much; just around the door. Also, luckily the dog was smart enough to stay away until after the shooting stopped so he wasn't around to get sprayed. He's been there before, so I think he's learned his lesson.
Tobina,
Somewhere on this forum we have a recipe for skunk odor. If you can find it and have the ingredients to mix it up, it should kill the odor from around your door. I have used it on one of my dogs before and it works great.
Roma Jean and michael_glenn,
Colonel is a handsome boy. He is also very athletic. He chases squrriels away from the feeder all day long. I wish that I still worked in law enforcement because I think he would have made a great drug dog. Not an attack dog though. He isn't aggressive enough for that. He might have made a great tracker as he wants to smell everything.
He would make a wonderful kid dog. That dog loves everyone. (And we love him) :)
That attacking the door business would sure worry me. That is not normal. Skunks do get Rabies....do you suppose?
Yes, I was a little worried about that, too. Yes, they get rabies. I'm not sure if it's breeding season and they're more aggressive, or what, but Chuck was chased by one when he was out hunting last week, too. I was just glad I was on the opposite side of the door! It was pretty odd that he came up to the house anyway, as Chuck had all the basement lights on. If they come up to the house, it's usually when it's dark. We feed the dog and cats in the garage, so it wasn't up there for food (but it was drinking out of the water dish).
Thanks for the reminder of the recipe, Janet. My walk-out door and area around there has sufficiently been sprayed with 1 part water and 2 parts vinegar. We'll see how it works (I wasn't sure of the other recipes since I didn't know how to "bathe" my walk-out door area). It seemed less smelly as I was spraying, but not sure if it was actually working, my nose was frozen, or just burned from the vinegar smell. OK, I'll quit interrupting the "pets" discussion, but we didn't have a "SKUNK!" section yet, and except for the smell, this guy would have made a pretty pet.
Here's the recipe I was talking about.
If Your Dog Gets Skunked
To remove the stink: Mix 1 quart of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide with 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent (make sure it doesn't contain bleach or ammonia). Rub this mixture all over your dog's coat. Prevent it from getting into your pet's eyes or ears. Then give your pooch a bath with a mild pet shampoo. Rinse well.
I think you could mix that up and spray it from a spray bottle.
