Welcome, Diane.  Ms. T is right.  This forum is addictive.  However; we will start offering classes to fight that addiction soon.  (I'm just kidding).

Welcome, Diane -

and, Janet, are all addictions bad? Are there ever good addictions?  :D

To answer Mom70X7's question...Are all addictions bad?  No.  Addict can mean to devote or surrender.  However; in today's society, what comes to mind when someone says something about addiction?  One thinks of a compulsion or obsession that is harmful to self.

1 : to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively <addicted to gambling>
2 : to cause addiction to a substance in (a person or animal)

Welcome to you Diane Amberg.

so far today I did go to church and I did ride around looking at the flooding.
Also walked the dog and the rest of the day I have sat here.

I did do a couple of my crossword games and I am going to do a jigsaw in a little bit.
but, can't seem to get off of this site.

I think I am very glad there isn't a chat room..............I would never shut down........LOL.......now don't tell me there (is) a chat room.......
Close enough. Glad you are here Diane..........

OH, is there a spell check on this letter head.........some days I need the help.....when fingers/mouth goes faster than the brain.
Hugs to all and God bless
Judy

Yep.  I'm addicted to spelling things right.  Sorry about that.

No spell check, but we won't say very much.  Most of the time things are typo's anyway, Judy.

Welcome Diane.

Please take a minute to tell us about yourself in the CoffeeShop Roll Call post.

I am guessing you are Lyle Amberg's daughter? Am I right?

Well Janet,

I really don't mind if you catch a spelling mistake.........as long as you let me play.

Typos are just fingers and brain getting cornfused.......and at my age.......I have the excuse I am heading over the hill very fast and we say I have "part-timers" meaning part of the time I know what I am doing, and other times just forget it...

LOL..........I just came in to check up  on everyones day.. Mine has been quiet. sun came out and I got a nice long walk in, and tried to buy some grocery's.

Trucks haven't gotten through yet. The mail did and the water tower still has water in it.
I think I will get to wash clothes tomorrow......maybe even hang them on line.

We are still boiling our water but have plenty unless someone gets happy with fire-works or something and starts a fire.

Catch up later.
Hugs and God bless,
Judy

Hi back to everyone who welcomed me. I'm sort of a trespasser since I never lived in Elk County, but I do have long ago ties to Howard.... Old cattle and oil connections with the Ambergs and Dentons. I'll pop in from time to time if nobody minds. Hope you are starting to dry out. I was always told that good water was hard to come by and many wells brought up salt water. Now you have too much!. Clear Creek must be really full. Say hello to Lynn Perkins for me.  Diane
