Halloween Hay Rack Ride at Severy
A frightening Halloween Hay Rack Ride – for young and old alike – will be sponsored by the Severy Community Activities and Severy Area Senior Citizens organizations again this year.  The event will be held on Saturday evening, Oct. 24, 2009.  Admission is $1.00.  Costumes are encouraged, but are not necessary.  Participants should meet in downtown Severy at the senior center by 7:30 p.m., at which time the first trailer will leave.  Other trailers will follow every fifteen minutes.  Be prepared to watch out for all the ghosts, goblins, witches & spooks along the way.  Dress warmly, and bring a blanket if you wish.
After the ride, refreshments of hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies will be served to everyone.  If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Cornett at 736-2820.  We’ll see you there!

It will be a lot of fun.  Last year there were over 250 participating in the event.  We are hoping for even more this year.  Everyone is welcome - young and old alike.

Glad you are coming back.  It was a fun evening last year and the weather was just perfect.

Just wanted to remind everybody - young and old alike - about the hay rack ride at Severy tomorrow night.  Looks like the weather is going to be pretty nice again this year.  Hope to see you there.

The event that the Severy Activities group put together was wonderful.  The hayride was great as was the hotdogs, cookies, and hot chocolate.  Your group does a nice thing for the surrounding communities!!  4-H had a great time!!!

It is my understanding there were about 400 participants this year (around 80 or so were helpers).  There were riders enough for ten hayracks / trailers.  I think everyone had a really good time.  Our three grandchildren really enjoyed the evening.
