Is that something like watching grass grow?

I (we) are taking our 4 year granddaughter to her first day of school today.  She is still in preschool at the church.  This will be her third year there.  She went on Wednesday to meet her new teacher and to see her new classroom.  She loves going to school even though it is only three days a week and three hours a day.  She has spent the last two nights with us, one night because we were going to the beach and last night so she could be ready for school.  As today is the local farmer's market, we may take her there tonight to ride the ponies and eat some good food and listen to some good music.

Lets see, I finished cooking down 4 more quarts of tom sauce.  Finished the paperwork for the CPR class from yesterday. I'm sorting through all the state fire prevention packs that Al and I will deliver to all the schools in our fire district next week for the fire prevention contest in Oct. Got called to schedule a local church preschool for me to do a fire safety presentation next month. I'll be going to the store soon for supplies for baked beans for a pot luck Barbecue on Sat. Have a get together with a high school friend on Sun.The weather here is wonderful!

After reading Diane's post, I think I prefer watching the water rise in the rain gauge.  Yes, it is like watching the grass grow, usually.  Today we have had half an inch this morning and more on the way, according to the weather radar.

Larry, how fun, taking a child to school again and Patyrn, I will be watching football, just don't know which ones yet.

Tonight I'll be working on my brother's car replacing the engine so that I can work on my wife's car to replace... everything... so that I can finally start working on my car again, which is the exciting part. laugh

Enjoying the rain, I hope it washes away some of the ragweed pollen. This afternoon I plan to publish the booklet for Musical & Literary club, and then maybe a nap. But first to the post office to get my bills off for the month; it's hard to use the computer while sitting in the dark.  Grin

I'm finishing up some paperwork, then will head out on the bicycle for awhile.  I have to be in the office all day tomorrow and do the announcements at church Sunday.  All the rest of the holiday will be biking, playing with dogs and catching a movie.  Probably some cheeseburgers and pizza thrown in there as well.
