If you have any holes or openings where pipes or cables come through the walls you can pack steel wool in them.  The ant and bugs can't eat through it and can't get in.  It even works on the wood or tree roaches we have here in Texas.  I have had good luck with this.

Does the Terro work on fleas?  They are so bad here that I have given up on house dogs and just have one big dog in the yard.
