Everett Harold Crismas 94, died Friday, October 26, 2001, at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka.
He was born January 22, 1907, on a farm northeast of Howard in Elk County, the son of Clinton Everett and Ciphfronia Elnora (Myers) Crismas. He attended rural Elk County schools and graduated from Howard High School on May 21, 1926.
On February 16, 1928, he married Lydia Lucille Richards at Fredonia.  They lived northeast of Howard for many years before moving to a farm east of Severy.  He was employed at the locker plant and the grocery stores in Severy for several years.  He was also employed in the construction of Fall River Dam during the early 1950s.
They owned and operated Midway Grocery in Severy and farmed in the Severy area during this time.  In 1954, they moved to Erie, where they owned and operated Crismas Grocery Store in Erie for 32 years, and retired in 1986.  They have lived in Howard since October 1987 and had recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary. She preceded him death on March 8, 2001.
He attended the Howard Church of Christ. He was known for growing cane and producing sorghum from his cane crop.
He is survived by his son Richard of Springfield, MO.; three daughters, Shirley Wunderlich of Piedmont, Melba George and Linda Crismas, both of Wichita; a daughter-in-law, Carol Crismas of Chanute; a sister, Sylvia Carson of El Paso, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Robert Crismas, who died on February 13, 2001; his parents; five brothers, Austin, LeRoy, Alve, Vernie and Darrell; and a sister Goldia Hinderliter.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Octber 31 at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard with Scott Hawley of the East Point Church of Christ in Wichita officiating. Grandchildren gave eulogies. Interment was held in Grace Lawn Cemetary at Howard.
Memorials have been established with the Howard Chruch of Christ and the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be left with the funeral home.  The arrangements were made with the Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.
