On September 26, 2019, Nancy (Martin) Barnaby, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 72.  She was born July 7, 1947 in Ottawa, Kansas to John and Mildred "Millie" Martin.

Nancy married Arthur "Art" Barnaby on July 22, 1967, and they raised two sons together, Mark and Michael.  Nancy received her BS in Nursing from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas in 1974.  She practiced as a nurse in the labor & delivery unit in Las Cruces, New Mexico, psychiatric hospital in College Station, Texas, Homecare & Hospice in Manhattan, and finished her career as a Diabetes educator at Via Cristi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas.

Nancy had a passion for helping and taking care of others, whether it was family, a friend, or just someone in need.  She was an avid collector of antiques, quilts, and knickknacks.  She enjoyed traveling to see her granddaughters, Annika, Alea, Aalyiah, Anissa, and Kennedy as well as other family members.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Art Barnaby; her sons, Mark (Krisann) Barnaby and Michael (Jen) Barnaby; her sisters, Sally (Ed) Morgan, Patty (Randy) Wiseman, and Jean (Bill) Willson; her brother, Tom (Vickie) Martin; and her five granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by her father, John Martin; her mother, Mildred Martin; and her brother, John Martin III.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the School of Nursing at Fort Hays State University or the Martin Family Scholarship Fund in care of the  Howard State Bank in Howard, Kansas.

Services are pending.
