Cecil Eugene Osborn, 85, of Garfield, Arkansas, departed this life on April 15, 2017 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after suffering a massive stroke while vacationing in Branson, Missouri with dear friends.  He was born February 17, 1932 at Elk Falls, Kansas to Charles Martin and Ida Mae (Bennett) Osborn.

Cecil attended school in Elk Falls and graduated from Elk Falls High School in 1950.  He then attended Independence Junior College in Independence, Kansas for two years.  In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Navy for four years.  In the fall of 1956, he went to work at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas until he was laid off in 1971.  He then worked for Precision Contours in Wichita which only lasted a short time.  In 1972, he was employed by Tweco Products until his retirement in 1995.  He was an avid fisherman and attended Lost Bridge Community Church in Garfield, Arkansas.

Cecil married Mary McAlister from rural Moline, Kansas in 1957.  She survives him.  Other survivors include two sons, Martin "Marty" Osborn (Debbie) of Clayton, North Carolina and Randy Osborn (Sheree) of Rago, Kansas; a daughter, Cathy Ostmeyer of Rogers, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Casi Ebbing and Jason, Justin Osborn and Andrea, Bryant Zimmerman and Kylie, Kyle Lee Osborn and Val, Cody Osborn, Quinlyn Ostmeyer, and Daniel Osborn; and one great-grandchild.  He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Osborn; and four sisters, Bessie Royse, Helen Cooley, Viola Barnett, and Barbara Sanders.

Services will be held on April 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lost Bridge Community Church with Rev. Hugh Wagner officiating.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. before the service begins.  Burial will be held at the Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lost Bridge Community Church, P.O. Box 233, Garfield, Arkansas 72732.  Online condolences may be left at siscofuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to Sisco Funeral Home, 1312 N. Curtis Avenue, Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
