from THE LONGTON GLEANER  Feb. 1902
ROOT-BERRY

A quiet wedding occurred last Sunday afternoon when Charles Root and Miss Zadie Berry were made man and wife.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. Budd, at the home of the bride's parents.  The young people began house keeping Monday, Mr. Root having his house, East of town, furnished and ready for the better half.

Charlie is a thrifty young farmer and will be one of our future solid citizens, and acquaintances of the bride all unite in her praise.  That their journey through life may be free from sorrow is the wish of the Gleaner.
