Any opinions on this piece? I put a few rounds through one last week, was impressed. Thinking seriously of getting one. Talk to me. Thanks.

The one I have works great right out of the box.  Some folks have had a minor problem or two but nothing serious that I am aware of.  Go to Coyote Caps web site and you can learn quite a bit from him.  A friend of mine had some problems with with the two shot feed.  i thought the shotgun was pretty smooth as is but Coyote Cap can really make them hum.  I think they're a lot of fun! ;D
I ain't often right but I've never been wrong.

I looked it over and found i had to mill away some of the botom of the bolt face to alow the spent shell to come further back and clear the cahmber....... it works fine now..... h c ramrod..

I have a very early one, #00014**, and it jammed so tight on it's very first round that it had to beaten clear with a rubber mallet. Seriously. The forward portions of the bolt runner guides appeared to be machined with a wood rasp. The gun was new, and the bolt was still blued. I spent about 2 hours with a flexi-Dremel polishing, and she has rattled through about 6 boxes of shells, now. She's fine, and I have no intention of getting rid of her. Might also add that I have traded for a Taurus Thunderbolt. Might be that I simply enjoy the "trouble-makers?" haha!

I got about 6-7 boxes of shells through mine with no problems... just got to learn how to work the gun.. the "drop 2" loading takes some practice and you have to be sure to run that lever all the way forward and keep it there when cycling it or loading it. Mine is bone stock... I have also ran about 2 boxes of holy black thru it without any problems. Alot slower than my side by side, but alot more fun.

Mine works great with Da Holy Black out of the box,  but I love My 1901 10ga origanal, it not only works perfectly, the Might 10 vaporizes the targets. ;D

I was tempted to buy one, but I can wait for next years' Aussie made model 1887/1901 12g.  8)

ADI/Lithgow are supposed to be releasing an anniversary model in 2007, for the local and international market, available in long or short barrels. Of course it will be a tad more expensive.

Apparently they've back engineered it to iron out the faults, tested some prototypes with good results, and are on track for production.

Here's hoping all goes well !

I got to play with mine over the past weekend.............I found that the AA type shells work better than the Brass shells do....This also what Coyote Cap recommended for use.

Only problem is, American shooters have been waiting over 6 years for the Aussie '87. I don't know many in the US that was able to get one.

My IAC '87 works just fine.

I had two inches cut off the stock, an inch recoil pad on and some oiling and now it's a hoot.
Just have to work that lever hard...
Oh !   had a 'smithy thread the barrel for winchokes too.

Isn't life great ?
Rather play with a Chinese one now and wait for our Aussie made.

Kirby.
