Howdy,
 Any other folks have a Navy Arms Henry?These were made in Ridgefield New Jersey by Val Forgett.Not exact copies,they have two screws in the left sideplate and '73 hammers and levers.Mine is .44 WCF.but some were produced in .44 rimfire also.American Walnut stock,nicely made and finished.
Its been shot now for about 30 years and has developed an "original"patina,looks really cool.Tack driver at 100 yds.

I had a carbine (2" shorter ) in 44/40 Marked: Navy Arms - Ridgefield, New Jersey. It was made by Uberti though.

  I have one with a serial number in the 500's.  It is .44-40.  I love it.  It shoots way better than I can ever hope to be able to...  I love it.  The only problem I have is that the rear ladder sight is loose and floppy.  I bought a new ladder sight for it but it is made for the new Uberti's so the dovetail needs to be re-cut.  I am hesitant to change it since the old sight is a sort of buck horn and the new one isn't...

The Ridgefield, New Jersey location was their offices and showroom. I drove there in 1968 to buy my first handgun, a brass framed 44 cal 'Navy' Cap & Ball revolver. They only marked the barrels with the New Jersey location, I'm pretty sure they did not make them there.

Val Forgett formed & owned Replica Arms which became Navy Arms  some of the early boxes stated both names.
Val was pioneer, and took both a  51 navy & a Remington 58 NMA to Italy to be replicated.

Around 1979 -80 Uberti began making the Henry, first Imported by Allen Arms in New Mexico, then Navy Army, and finely EMF.
Each importer either had thier Name and City on the barrels ... all were Uberti's though..

A friend of mine showed me an old catalog he ran across from somewhere back in the 1960s. I don't recall if it was Replica Arms or not, but the address was Ridgefield NJ, so I'm pretty sure it was an early enterprise of Val's.

I had the pleasure of knowing Val, I dealt with him in buying props.
His one of his daughters lives here in Fla. and at occasional gun shows, some years back I met her & her husband.
I was saddened by his passing.
He starting Replica Arms in the 50's

I saw a Henry on the rack at a gunshop in Albuquerque, NM a couple of years ago.  Caught my eye, as it was highly finished and engraved.  Upon examination, it turned out that it was a Navy Arms in  44 rim fire.  Put it back, since I was not interested in a rifle for which no ammo is currently made.  Thought about it for a couple of days and then went back to get it.  It was gone, of course!  Out the door for $1200.

Mines a 2 digit serial # of the Carbine variaty in .44WCF.
