There ya' go, On STB's word I was right after all. Of course if her shopping expereince goes south I'm telling her that this whole shopping trip thing - the NCOWS convention just happened to be in town - was Steel Horse Bailey's idea, and then I'm sneak'n out'ta town.

My Beautiful Bride (Fire Foot) and I hope to be there.  I am realy looking forward to checking out the fancy duds folks are wearing.  I want to go to town and see the "elephant".  I am also looking to pick up a fancy new shooting Iron of some kind I am torn between a wheel gun and a lever gun.  I know the wheel guns cost a little less but heck I might fall in lust with another gun and end up with something entirely different than expected.  I Hope the leather vendor that was there last year shows up agaiin this year.  Looking Forward to siminars, seeing folks and steppin out to see the big town.

I can not think of the BBQ place just a block away but I want a chance to eat there again wow, If you like pork this is definately the place to go i highly recommend it.

James Hunt, I don't mind at all if you tell her it was my idea, but if she get's cranky, I'm gonna SWEAR my name is Lone Gunman and then sneak out with you!!!

SHB,

Won't work!  Your too good looking and nice to be mistaken for Lone Gunman! Grin Grin  Better tell her your Joss from California.  Atleast his is not notorious for being viscious and intempreate. Roll Eyes

Oooooooooops!  Should be nicer to the viscious and intemperate fella I'm sharing a room with.  Shocked  Guess I better learn to sleep with one eye open.

For those folks whose spouses want to do shopping while in the area...

Mall of the Bluffs is just off of I-80 on the east side of Council Bluffs.
Another PLUS this year is the very conspicuous presense of BASS PRO's new store.  Only a short walk from the convention center and within full view!
On the west side of Omaha are Westroads and Crossroads malls - on Dodge Street off of I-680.

But ask around while at the convention.  There are many specialty shops in the area.

IrishDave, Steel Horse Bailey and myownself should roll in from the plains of back home Indiana on Thursday afternoon or evening. I would suppose the sidewalks of Council Bluffs will be tightly rolled and neatly stacked prior to our arrival! See you all on Friday a.m.

What are the dates of the convention?  I am trying to wrangle the time off but I think its right after I get back from vacation so might be tough.

Dr. Bob, thanks for thinking of me.  You're VERY correct to beware  of roomates, etc.  Not to mention the Lone Gunman "action" figure.  I don't know what it's capable of, but the name "Chucky" comes to mind here!

And for those of y'all who may think we're serious, ... actually, LG is a pretty good pard - but DON'T tell him I said so; he'll get a MAJOR case of the Big Head! Wink Grin
