I owned a Hege-Uberti' Lincoln' ,One of a Thousand in cal.44-40.
When i have found out how i can download from my photobucket account to this forum some pics, i can show your my Henry.
The Henry was my ' Dream ' as a young boy.All the other guys allways wanted a Winchester'73.( Thanks to Jimmy Boy)
I was the only one who wants allways the Henry. Wink

Please add my name to the list.  I haven't got it yet, but I just ordered an 1860 with sling swivels.  At last, 5 long years of drooling can come to an end.  Besides, my wife was getting tired of asking me what I wanted for my birthday/christmas and getting the same answer - a Uberti 1860 Henry.

Shotgun Steve, Don't worry about it.  If you go back and read the roll you will note several people have signed on with their "improved" Henrys.  This was what the 66 was refered to as until the 73s came out.

Guess you should add me to the list. My main rifle for the past 11 years is the 1860 Henry. Military model with sling in .45 cal. Nairy a hic-up and smooth as butter.

Sign me up! I just brought home a Navy Arms 1860 Henry "Special Short Carbine" with a 16" barrel, in .44 WCF (.44-40). Apparently unfired, it still has factory grease in the magazine tube. Got it from my local toy store for $720.25 out the door. Looking for a 3-piece cleaning rod (Dixie Gun Works has them) and possibly adding sling swivels.

I have the rod from Dixie,.......Love it,..... also purchased the sling and swivels..........you will want to drill the rapid rivet off and put a good Harness rivet in......but I feel they were worth the money........

Well I got an email from my FFL saying my Henry is waiting to be picked up, I'll post pics this coming week after I get it. My spending spree paid off, now I have a Uberti brass framed military Henry, a 1889 Remington SXS 10 ga., and 2 .36 Pietta Remingtons.  Frontiersman here I come! Grin

If the 10Ga Remy kicks anything like my 12 GA 1889 Remy CoachGun, then you'l know the meaning of "kills on one end and Maims on the other". I carry bruises for a week after I shoot mine, but it is an original Remy and I love it...

I'm still looking for an 1860 Henry or that improved modell in 45 LC.

Yeah, if I am unlucky enough to win this shotgun, http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=73167566 , I bid on as a back up then I think the 1889 might feel good in comparison. Sometimes free time and gunbroker are not your friend Shocked I was thinking, hey , I can get a wooden stock set from Brownells for about $35, refinish the metal and I'll have a great gun to test loads with! The other thought was I could "make" 10 ga. empty hulls to reload from store bought rounds or shoot those factory loaded 10 ga black powder rounds in it at a match. I never said I had a lot of common sense! Roll Eyes  I need to find someone local who can help me figure out what size chamber the 1889 has so I don't handload shells that are too long for it. I'm sure if I get the NEF it will help "encourage" me to do so. Wink
Don't worry when I get all this figured out I'll post some pics of the 10 gauge(s) knocking me on my 4th point of contact!

Shoot 2 7/8" 10s with The Holy Black and  they won't hurt ya so bad,......Ya poor little things,........I use to shoot my ol' Mans Ithaca Mag 10, and I had a Spanish made Arms Sport 10 Ga O/U........those will hurt ya.....................

You know the most painful recoil I have felt was from a Benelli 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge with 00 Buck loads a buddy had. That narrow butted shotty hurt! I like to play with elephant guns and have fired .375 H&H, .378 Weatherby, .416 Remington, Rigby, and Weatherby, .458 Win. Mag., .460 Weatherby, and .500 Jefferys and I still think that shotgun was the most vicious. I'm not really worried about the 10 gauges, although I won't be shooting any 3 1/2" shells out of the NEF single shot if I can help it...
