Woke up for a plumbing check.... feeling poorly, took some Tylenol ( worked earlier )

Arm bicep smarts a bit ...muscle pain at the injection point.

Feel feverish and generally ache ....beats the shingles though, I'm told  ::)

My mom got shingles last year (also chicken pox as a kid). It doesn't look like a fun experience.

I've kicked in when the office does a group buy.... but they didn't this time  :-\  so I figure I saved $20  :)

Yeah i seen the 8mph... a zero turn can’t jump a fence or wade a creek< trust me on that one.

Capt. Ya’ll stir the beast in Delmonico with all the foo-foo coffee.

I need a little more cinamon in mine.  Spell check dont work for me either.

Good amount rain thru the night. We were needing some. I read it should clear out this afternoon.

A Zero turn can and will take a fence out though  ....yep ! I know first hand saw it happen ... about 10 feet in fact !

Wade creek ?  ah no ...they don't float either, that also is a note in my book !  ::)

But when you pit an inanimate machine intelligence VS the Dumb ass Purp ...I'll vote inanimate machine & krama.

And in the case of one dude ....mowing to fast near a fenced protected retention pond VS just plain common since ....inanimate machine & karma wins again !

;D  wasn't you ....  it was lawn service guy of hispanic descent....

I saw it happen, going full tilt along a chain link fence 8' high, caught the steering lever in the wire and whoop in and under he went full song in the retention pond drink dragging some of the fence with him....

Mess up his hand some ( broken I thing too )  pretty muddy & very wet also

Actually, I thought it was funny karma , yeah karma   ;)

I was not alone, others were snickering too ....

Afternoon all.

50 and overcast today. Got a little rain this morning, could turn into white stuff by tomorrow.

Didn't fly today like I'd hoped.  Wind just wasn't having it.  Oh well.  I've got other stuff I can do.

I’ve snagged fencing with several types of mowing equipment, including a zero turn. Then had to fix the fence too.
But took the front end of a pick-up with a well casing that was well hiddened in tall grass.

I think M2 said he ate at one last week.

Clover of any color is slick.

Coffee is up.  Going to make sausage gravy and biscuits after morning feeding chores. Then go pick up feed for the goats. Both Alabama and Auburn have a buy week. So i won’t sit on sofa all day.

I have a modest early to mid 20 Century helmet collection....
I had acquired an French "Adrian" to go with my Berthier

Was given an M17 “Brodie Helmet" in quite good condition
Next I purchased an M16 "Stahlhelm Helmet".
I had four major belligerents at that point.... ( the Brodie being the same pattern for both the Tommy's & AEF )

I figured to stop there...but

After some further study I discovered my  French  “Adrian" Helmet was in fact an M26.....Which led beyond the Great War
then my FFL gave me an M38 Luftschutz Helmet, this one needed some TLC , as someone had rattle can painted it black.
About a 1/2 pint of mineral spirits removed all of that revealing the original Luftwaffe blue...
yesterday I scored an M39  Soviet Helmet.

So I've advanced to WWII it seems   :-X

Major, That Luftschutz helmet is worth around $350.00 in todays market, Your FFL must really like you or doesn't have a clue to WW2 militaria. Nice find.

You might Change your Alias to Col. Klink  ::). That is nice guift you got there.

Couple years ago i found a a Viet Nam era pot minus the liner.  I have no way of verifing age. Nearly bought just to wear as a daily hat.  Just in case i needed to stand in front a judge. My sanity would be already questioned.  If i wassn’t in such a hurry to get out. I would have collect a few more soveniers

Probably both, I frequent the place and have made several ID's & a few Appraisels on the old stuff , people bring in...
He is a retired LEO, and is good with 20th Century guns ...
But not to much in historical paraphernalia or 19th century firearms....He stocks CCW & Black guns mostly and I help him when the really cool stuff happens in...
The Luftschutz is missing the liner, I'd put the value a bit less....but still a little gem !

I've had and given away, several Viet era lids ... I was just going to do WW 1 ...but the "Adrian" was outside by a few years and then
the Luftschutz was gifted....so it follows that the M39 Soviet was in order at a grab me price.

Coffee is up.
