GAF Wins at SASS Convention

Attention on Deck (Drum roll please....)

It is my priviledge and pleasure to announce that Acting Master at Arms and Sgt Drydock won FIRST PLACE in the Military Uniform Category at the SASS Convention this week. 

I had the honor of being drafted at the last minute to help judge the uniforms, but my opinion was but one of many, so he made a very favorable impression on the entire judging panel.

This award also earns him a Star of Merit and I will be submitting the appropriate application on his behalf shortly.

WELL DONE to Acting Master at Arms and Sgt Drydock for his excellent turnout!

I should note there were two "wanna-be" Rattlesnake Jacks, but they somehow both decided to portray the 24th Foot (one officer and one sergeant). 

We did notice a number of people in kilts though - I counted no less than six and there may have been more.

Sgt Drydock - my good lady returns the compliment.  She was most impressed with your dancing abilities.
