Bill it width on ranger style cartridge belt

Is there a standard width you tend to use for the billets on each end of the ranger style cartridge belt?  The main body of the belt is going to be either 3 or 3.5 inches wide. Most of the buckles I like the design of are for 1.5 inches, but I was thinking that may look a bit narrow on the wider belt.

1.5". You 'could' do a 2" if you find a buckle you like but to me, a 1.5" looks and works fine.

I’ll keep that plan moving forward.  Just picked up a HO side 9/10 ounce today.
