What no  IHOb    ;)  ?

I gave up on them 10 years ago when it was Ihop and they had more chicken on the menu than pancakes....Dunkin’ Donuts is changing to just Dunkin...At least at Waffle House you can still get a Waffle.

All American Breakfast for me - 2 over easy ( must say here the old girl got them perfect) Bacon - i chose hashbrowns in lew of grits- also toast and of course a waffle and coffee- Suzanne had a waffle and homefries and a coke. Tip included less than 20 bucks.

Didn’t get off that easy at Wally World though :o

Morning all.

Currently 75 and sunny, headed for 80.

I'm supposed to be mowing the neighbor's lawn about now, but I left the key to the gate in my truck... Which my dad took to work this morning.  I guess I'll mow when he gets home.

Don't get me started on the whole burger/pancake thing.  IHOP is MY restaurant.  It's where I go for my birthday.  And I never thought to get a burger there.  I get the 2x2x2.  2 pancakes, 2 eggs (over medium), and 2 slices of bacon.  I'm going to stop there being I work myself up any more.

Local news today had an interesting bit.  Apparently someone stole a Dodge van full of show dogs yesterday, then just ditched it on the side of the highway ten miles down the road.  Nobody found it until 10am today, but all dogs were in good health and the van was in fine mechanical order.  Weird situation all around.

back when I was a sprout, teenagers used to do that regularly, regullarlly,  frequently, "borrow" a car, take a drive, leave it somewhere.
the local constabulatory called it "joy riding".
minus the dogs, however...

There are a lot of explanations possible here Prof M. Someone practicing for a dog catcher job ( getting used to all the barking), a cat burgler gone totally wrong or possibly a dogs rights PETA supporter trying to save those poor defenseless show dogs from a life of being exploited just for their looks. So sad.

I think Wal Mart requires you to spend $100, or else they have a surcharge to make up the difference.

Baltimore Ed, how do you get the stuff to stay in the totes when they're all sideways?

Antigravity? I straightened them up, Pony. Dadgum dog knocked the antigravity machine on it's side. Hate it when he does that. What do you expect from a Weimaraner named Cletus.

Hit the 90+ mark depending on where you are at today.  Home for now, only forgot 2 things today. My average for any given day.  ::)
Glen that steak would feed the 2 of us at least 2 meals. Not too many years ago i could tackle it like pro.

Yeah. But I'm a big guy and hadn't ate yet.

I hop, I bop, ate there twice, once cause it was late and never tried it before, once cause step daughter worked there and was told I had to be nice and eat there.  Lucky she got fired shortly after and didn't have to repeat it.

Besides we have a real 24 hour hole in the wall diner down the road.  Wife and I go there sometimes on Sat night after work.  Old guy cook looks about like Mel from the TV show, like on work release, but he mumbles under his breath when I order eggs, but gets them right when they come, I give him a thumbs up when I leave and he gives it back.  Hardly anyone else can.
Over hard, not broke seems to confuse them.

How about BOB EVANS?  They are not in the south, and i sure they have changed in the past 20 years but it was my favorite of the chain restaurants. Even more than Cracker Barrell

Got the morning beverages ready..... might try some cold brew later today.

Got back from the 2018 NCOWS Nationals last Sunday. It was a great event. I slept in a tent for eight nights. Some days were in the 90's but it got down around 70 at night. Slept better at times in the tent then at home. I bought an inflatable queen size mattress 22" high and it worked great. With my artificial hip it would have been difficult sleeping on the ground.

The mattress was around $45.00 delivered from Amazon. I inflated it with a borrowed Inverter.

Howdy LR,

Yes the one in the video is virtually the same as mine. It's pretty easy to set up. I usually try to camp in the primitive (period correct) area. Hopefully next year I will be able camp in the primitive area again.

There's a Bob Evans in Osage Beach we have ate at a few times. Pretty good for a chain restaurant.

Johnny M, I have a couple of air mattresses, but they're not the extra high type. One Queen and one single. I have an inflator that uses 4 "D" batteries.. They also make 12 volt ones as well as 120. I used the single in my "A" tent last year at the Iowa Muster, slept well but needed an extra sleeping bag under me, in cool weather air mattresses are really cold to sleep on. I don't use a cot in my "A" tent, because it would have to be nearly in the middle to clear the sloped walls.

You probably have the Bob Evans because of Florida’s winter population.

I love my Ryobi tools. However i think once my step sons got their hands on the inflater i’d loose that and a good battery. I ll stick to the small electric compessor. They hate using it. Too much like work.

Slim the report from Hayward... Walleye and Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass caught by all, including 9 year old Grand Nephew. They head back to Chicago today to get van and return rental. Then drive home.
