Update from Wisconsin. Lightning hit a tree outside the Cabin they are staying in. It traveled a cable in under the cabin, blewing registers and other stuff off the lower walls and floor. The Cabin has filled with smoke. They are waiting now for fire department to give a all clear. So they can pack up. Crazy day for them. I just looked at weather app, looks pretty red over most of the land of cheese and sausage

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee.

Sounds like a good time was had by one in Hayward, except for the lightning.

'Tis 58 and lightning. "Humid. Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall in the morning. Highs in the middle 80s. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent."

One way to look at that trip to Hayward is that they'll have a lifetime of stories to tell.  Have a few of those myself.

Hot here, 108 yestiddy, NWS says it's 99 right now, but it is a bit cloudy, and the humidity is up from what it has been.

Glad you're on the upside of that ague, Major2, had some sort of the stuff a few times, not anywhere close to pleasant.  Picked up a bug from the Colorado River once that took me almost six months to get over; pathologists never could identify it from the tests that they did.

Going to make the trip to SoCal tomorrow, 'bout five hours worth of driving; granddaughter 2 is in a stage production at the South Coast Repertory Theater, requested our attendance.  She's a good kid, and talented, too - aren't all grandkids like that?

Off to tend to more chores.

Later.

Evening all.

I don't know how the weather was in town today, because I was on a mountain.  Me and a friend and my dog went up a local mountain.  It's 8090 feet, and the trailhead is 3400.  It took nine hours round trip, and 12 miles.  Coming down was much easier.  Up there it was 60 degrees.

I'm going to finish my Gatorade and root beer, and be a vegetable the rest of the day.

Wife uses them and gets lots of messed up orders. If when I rarely eat at such a places and don't eat inside I go inside and order.  Don't get messed up orders that way.

As for work tonight, all I can say is damned kids, yes I yelled at one tonight, dumb lazy co-worker. Got a policy I ain't paid to baby sit.

One of the bosses came in last week and asked me where she was.  Told her somewhere in the back and I didn't care as long as she was out of my way.

Coffee is up.... looks like another hot day ahead.

Del .... Publix is a Grocery store chain here in the south. Known for great customer service, excellant deli and bakery and in house fish monger and butchers.  I was being sarcastic with the drive thru window.

El P....like the Major sed.... be safe traveling.

Ditto on Publix.... they make great Subs & wraps ...and can & will throw the garden on it....
any meat and or cheese from the ajoining Deli , including hot lunch counter Fried Checken & Mojo Pork.
and they are priced about with Subway and better than most  other Sub Joints , Like Firehouse , Jersey Mikes,  Jimmy John's....

Plan today is the * toy store & lunch with a pard....

* maybe something has turnned up  :P

Morning y'all.
Thanks fer the coffee.

Gonna stay inside as much as I can today and tomorrow. Got the A/C going already to get the humidity out.
'Tis 73, partly sunny, and 81% humidity. "Hot and humid. Partly sunny. Patchy fog in the morning. Highs in the lower 90s. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Heat indices to 99."

Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer.  ::)

Well, the wife's back in the hospital again. I thought that it might have been a mini stroke but mri/ ct says no new damage. Running tests to try to find the problem. Other than that it looks to be a pretty morning. After I finish my coffee I'll hit the road. Happy Fathers Day to all you old cowpokes.in CAS city.

Picked up Micah's GAF/NCOWS pistol. It is a Traditions/Pietta SAA 5 1/2" barrel .357 Mag with a transfer bar. The boys are reading the manual.
