Home from work now- charging a 02 bottle so i can get out and do chores. Used more last night than normal.

Slim thanks for the coffee.

For those of you on the Ark waiting for landfall. Try loading glue stick and primer ammo. You can shoot it in the house. You might wait till the Mrs. is out of the house though. They won’t cycle a slide but still fun to shoot.  You can use the glue stick slugs over and over depending on what your target surface is. I used a towel draped over a cardboard box.

Got to pick up feed and gas for mower.

Not been on here in a while.  I just ready Prof M's post on the Justice League.  Funny, I didn't hear anything about that in the news (sarcasm intended).
As for CCW with 1911 type controls, I have two.  Though I don't CC them...they are in the vehicle (re-evaluating this practice as your story, and recent events close to home, Santa Fe HS shooting, have prompted.)  Both guns have thumb safeties, but no grip safety.  I, or rather my favorite wife, owns a Sig P238.  It is an awesome little gun.  Though some may frown on the 380 ACP, the gun is very light, easily concealed and very  easily managed while shooting.  Miss Red can shot it with one hand.  I keep a Taurus PT111 in the Jeep.  I've added a set of Tru-Glo sights to it which cost 1/2 again as much as the gun and two mags cost me, but they are great in low light.  The PT111 isn't the most accurate gun, but I've not had any reliability issues with it.

The Sig runs in the $600 range, and comes with night sights.  They also make a similar, but only slightly larger version, 938, in 9mm in the same price range.  The Taurus was $250, plus another $120 for the sights I added.  I chose the Taurus for the price range....Heaven forbid it is stolen, but I won't be out of a lot of money (of course, snub-nosed 38's are available in the same price range, too!).

Stay calm and carry on....

Good Morning to y'all. Been kinda rainy or overcast, with bits of Sun peeking out on occasion. Been up into the 90's, which means we are running the genny during the day now, so the wife can sleep. Her cancer scare turned out ok. They had found microcalcifications, which are usually a precursor to breast cancer. She got the biopsy, and they proved to be nothing, and were removed. However, while they were doing that, they also found a 2mm cancer, but it isn't going anywhere or amount to anything.

But, prior to the biopsy, we had been sitting in the garden, and she said she wasn't feeling good. Next thing I know, she pitches forward and face plants on the ground. I called 911 (Which is a real joke here), and she was unresponsive off and on for about half an hour while we waited for the ambulance. They finally showed up, and took her to the local hospital... which is usually a death sentence. They discovered she had a few strings of pvcs, which lead to her dropping out., She's doing better now, but has to wear a heart monitor for 30 days to see what is going on. Hopefully they can control it with meds, and not have to put in a pacemaker. I tell you, that scared the crap out of me.

My best wishes go out to your wives, I hope they are doing fine. Take this opportunity to let them know you love them, because there is no telling what tomorrow will bring.

I take my wife in tomorrow, to have a vile duct removed.  Should be home late tomorrow evening/afternoon. This was postponed because of my wellness or lack of.

Sounds like a bunch of us and our better-halves need some prayers.

Good Troy, I don't frown on .380 ACP. Well placed shots of .22 LR will do the job.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

'Tis 51 and overcast. "Warmer. Cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning  then partly sunny in the afternoon. Patchy fog in the morning. Highs in the lower 70s. Light and variable wind. Chance of rain 20 percent."

Slim,

I don't frown on 380 acp either!  Look forward to seeing you and yours at the Grand Muster.  Miss Red will be shooting this year.
She shoots 38/357 loads, and I'm thinking she should upgrade to 44 or 45's....only because I would like to increase my arsenal!

Thank you M2 he indeed heels
Rain- must had frog drowner here just before we got home. Of course  we get home and all 4 dogs are out side soaking wet - my youngest step son no wheres around. The oldest dog weighs 4 pounds and blind in one eye, very few teeth, was not happy. Soaked to the bone. I have no clue why he let them sll out like that.

Back home around 13:30 had a lunch stop on the way home. Suzannes oldest son sat in the recovery room with me .waiting for his momma to come out. Suzanne did find and will be waiting for oncologist to report on sample sent to them.

Her son and i became closer. Of course i explained to him how i feel his Grandfather was with the CIA  ::).  So like if I mysteriously  disappear, you’ll know why.

I'll stir the coals for the night crew.

We've been having some weird weather in California the past few days.  It knocked out our internet for the better part of four days.  We got somewhere around four inches of rain, with lightening everyday.  Of course it also had to be 90 degrees.

My grandma and some other family friends will be arriving tomorrow to attend festivities for my younger sister, who is graduating high school Friday.  So if you don't hear from me for a few days, it's because I'm hiding in the forest with my phone turned off.

I made a comment the other day about not only the people are going crazy but that the planet inself was going crazy too but I forgot to add that the wildlife is losing it too. There was a mountain lion attack on a bicyclist the other day and I just saw where a coyote attacked a girl in nc. Luckily her father rescued her. Not to mention the craziness inside the beltway.

Just started on my first cup, a pretty sunrise. A rough night for the ms= a rough night for me. Up and down from 4:00 on.

Rats snakes and wolves have always been in the Beltway. We keep electing them and pay their way there.
