Schofield black rubber gunfighter grips?
« on: December 02, 2005, 04:26:58 PM »
Is there any source that may make these for the newer Schofield replicas?  I sure like the way the real ones look on S&W #3s and it would be a nice option to have if available.

Given the fact that the original Schofield was never supplied with them - the  Army Contract specifying Walnut - I doubt that any manufacturers of replacement grips make them - not having an original example to go from.

They reproduce those grips needed for replacement/restoration.

Those who make the various 'man-made' Ivory types 'do' have examples to go by - as there are numerous original guns that feature carved, checkered and smooth Ivory grips.
