Any Difference?
« on: April 04, 2018, 01:42:40 PM »
I've been looking at ads by Navy Arms and Turnbull for their 1873s. Navy Arms says they use high grade wood, while Turnbull says he refinishes Winchester's wood. The guns appear to be identical. Is this just advertising poetic license, or is what they say true?

I don't actually know.  Unless someone here actually visits each vendor and asks the question up close and personal, there is no way to actually know.

LB001,

The one thing you can be sure of, is that the photos you see on the net, don't do the woodwork justice!
I would suggest you contact the importer (such as Navy Arms) or the custom maker (like Turnbull) to be sure or the wood and finish they use.
I hope this helps?
My best,
