Luckily, I had enough R-P cases that fit without swaging to fill my requirements.

I'm " BACK ",, Sir Charles,,I'v been trying different brass that I have on hand ( 45-70 sized down ) . I used Jamison sized in " my " 40/60 ( yes to short ) but they all fit w/ block closed ,,nice,,2-w&w sized in my 40/60 die ,,no fit,, next NEW  Starline sized the same ,, block " no close ' ??  Tried a couple of R&P sized the same ( 40/60 ) 1- fit,, 1 didn't ??
Resized  the Starline Brass in the dies ( Lyman ) that came w/ the 1885,,,,,,,,FIT ,closed block & ejected smoothly . It seems my dies ( 40/60 RCBS ) are leaving a slight bulge just before the ( 1/4") rim but never have had any problem's w/ resized brass fitting in my ",,76 ,but then my " Chapp-ata " is a slut ,she shoot's any brand of brass . Called the friend " not to worry " have plenty of un- sized R&P . Looked up the serial# of rifle ,,,1997 model ,,anyone know about the value of this BPCR ,,just would like to know ,,in case I have to pay for it ???( lol)

 coffee's ready,,,Hootmix.

I love M-1855's, but as soon as I saw "Hi-wall" I knew it wasn't for me.
But I do like the 40-65!
