It is my understanding John Kort AKA Jack Christian  AKA w44wcf has crossed over  :(

I saw this on the Cast Bullets Board, I never met the gentleman , but respected his knowledge in Reloading and pertaining to the 73 Winchester....

Last active here in October 2017, he will be sorely missed  :(

Ah, he was a great help to me a number of times and most kind.  He was always willing to offer advice from his years of diligent experimentation.  He was quick to mail sample bullets he had been working with, generously offering to modify dies for me, etc.  If true, this is a big loss to our world...

That is sad news. I didn't know him in person but talked and emailed with him many times. We even worked together developing a new 32wcf bullet last summer. He was a wealth of knowledge.

I first “met” Jack over on the open range website, then here, cast booklets, and elsewhere.
He was a well of info and a true gentleman. Never before did I hear of anyone with the guts to buy
Collector cartridges, the disect them and document the effort and findings for the rest of us!

He will be missed.

If anyone knows how to contact his family I would like to express my condolences.

I have a handful of 44 WCF bullets that he cast and sent to me a couple of years ago. I'm going to load them up and shoot them in his honor--Jack Kort day.
