Learning as I go.
« on: March 05, 2018, 06:42:50 AM »
I have seen the most beautiful leather work by you guys and try to learn more each time I make another holster and belt. I HAVE learned that there is soo much more to learn. Anyway I decided to toss on my table the gunbelts and holsters that I have done. One disclaimer is there is a Frontiergunleather rig also in the picture that I purchased and quickly decided that I can learn to make my belts. I need a few more decades of work to get really good at this. I love reading your posts and seeing the craftsmanship!

I can not tell your work from the purchased item. You do nice work and should be proud of what you do.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thank you sir! I'm just stunned by the number of fine Master Leathercraftsman who post their work here. I have enjoyed learning and have a good friend who owns the local Saddle and Tack shop here and helps me all the time. I have found my favorite hobby.

I had to make this 1 1/2" belt to complete the set with the new boots.

The resist before the paste made a little difference in color, but it mostly goes together. Still learning!
