.38WCF over on Gunbroker (NOT MINE)
« on: February 24, 2018, 01:59:01 PM »
If it was a .44WCF, I'd be on it like a chicken on a junebug. Somebody here needs this (and if somebody is already on it, they'll hate me for this ;D). Awesome gun at an awesome price.

Yes, that is a good price, though of course bidding might raise it before tomorrow.  The lack of a "P" at the beginning of the serial number tells me it is a very old gun.   I really like those grips, have a pair on my Cimarron 4 3/4" 44wcf Old Model.

I have it’s twin- also in 38-40 and love it. I shoot 25-20 thru 44-40 WCF cartridges but I find I am going more and more to my 38-40 revolver and ‘73 Carbine . The fact the revolver is 38-40 May hold the biding down.

Sold for just under MSRP— this is why I am careful in auctions! Once It gets close to MSRP  I prefer to buy new. Very often the warranty is only good to original buyers. That being said I hope the buyer enjoys his 38-40 SSA as much as I do.
