Jefro-What version of the SASS 'Bible' do you have?
Please refer to bottom of page #21 Penalty Overview.

Howdy OLG, I opened copy from your post. Yep there are plenty of clubs that don't have LTO. ;) Good Luck :)

Minor Safety Violation (MSV) infractions include:
-Leaving empty or live round(s) in a magazine or carrier of the long gun in which it was loaded.
-Open, empty long guns that slip and fall –but do not break the 170° safety rule or sweep anyone.
-Cocking a revolver before it reaches 45° down range

OK - so who's responsibility is it to ensure that a shooter's guns are clear after a stage?

Yeah, it follows.

I wonder if our clubs are going to carry on as per or abide by SASS Rules in this regard.

Howdy PJ, If we have enough shooters or one that needs to sit a while we will use a designated UTO. If not then it is whoever is shagging your brass back to you......or the following shooter. Everyone knows that you cannot leave the ULT until cleared. Also we have made it a point that folks know what to really look for, like the mag follower of a Win 73 or the 1897. Usually we have enough shooters to rotate an UTO. Good Luck :)

Most of the time, the last shooter 'cleared', becomes the UTO for the shooter just coming off the line.
SASS clubs should always follow the SASS rules for the sake of consistency from one club to another.
