45-60 BRASS SOURCE
« on: February 07, 2018, 02:47:19 PM »
 >:( Hi Pards I am ready to give up. I bought a new Uberti 1876 in 45-60 over a month ago. I have spent many hours and found much information on finding non-BB Cowboy loads or brass for the 45-60. I have the dies from Lee and have found sources for lead and loads but can NOT find any 45-60 marked brass available. Spinal surgery has left both hands too numb, weak and fumbly to trim 45-70 brass to length. I read where the 45-60 was "pleasant" to shoot and I am going bonkers trying to find brass or smokeless cartridges. Do I have a white elephant, a useless wall hanger or does anyone sell 45-60 brass?? ANY help appreciated. Thanks, Mark "Dirty Doc" Zachary, mzac28717@aol.com

Hi, Slamfire
Our outfit is just north of the river Thames - about 285 miles north! If you check out www.henrykrank.com you will see the range of Bertram cases in the 'reloading' section. I think these are Australian - I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. They are pricey at £3.19 (around $4.40 at today's rate) each. I have an account with these guys and can get a bit of discount but I fear shipping to the US would be the problem.

Check out Huntington Die Specialties in Oroville CA. They have Bertram 45-60 brass listed.
