Ruger Blackhawk?
« on: January 01, 2018, 02:47:51 PM »
I’m interested in getting into CAS and have been trying to gather all the needed equipment. I have an old Ithaca SxS and I have a lead on a Rossi 92 that I can get cheap enough to make it worth it. My question is on the pistols I have been looking at the Uberti SAA’s but can’t afford a pair of them right now. I have a ruger Blackhawk, would it work as my second pistol until I could get a second SAA?

Your Blackhawk will work fine, although the adjustable sights may prevent you from shooting in a few categories, that require fixed sights only. I started many years ago with 2 Blackhawks, one a new model 4 3/4. and a 3 screw 6 1/2 inch, both 38/357.
