Just got home from trying to go to church. There was freezing rain ~~forecast~~guessed for early this morning, but didn't happen. Should have checked the facebook page, cancelled as of 8 AM. Arrived at 10 to find an empty parking lot.

The temperature doubled here today, got all the way up to 20 degrees. Mid week we're going to have a heat wave with 46 degrees. Y'all stay warm and dry.

Spent most the day in the basement. Had a bad spot in the wood of the Cowboy Veg-O-Matic, spent over an hour chiseling it out and inletting a piece, don't look bad, on the bottom anyway.

Had a couple old shingling hatcets with dangerous handles, got several of those 16 oz junk drawer type claw hammers with good handles that became donors. Both now fitted, one sanded and stained, other still has rasp marks. Will both wedge them and epoxy them in. Heads soaking in vinegar salt solution to remove rust. Didn't have white, had cider, should have added dill.

Small thin one will get a knife type edge, other will get normal edge. Got desperate a couple years ago and had to make kindling one morning at 4 am with my meat cleaver in the rain. This is a better solution.

Fingers are a blackish purple from rust removal project. Gonna soak in the tub and see if it comes off and get the oak and hickory dust off me.

Started raining early morning, as you travel north and east towards Atlanta it turned to ice. Glad i could just stay home today.

College National Chamionship this evening - i understand the POTUS will be attending. I will too. From a recliner. Even though was born in Georgia and i am a Auburn fan, i will be pulling for Alabama. ROLL TIDE!

Rehab (physical therapy) again this morning.

Have had a migraine off n on since Monday. Been easing it with store bought medication. The dark helps too. Unfortunately i have things to do in the light. I can rattle Del’s chains later.
