I purchased a new Navy Arms/Uberti SAA years ago.  When it started out in life it was a nice shiny blued gun.   A couple of years ago I shipped it to Classic Single Action in Tucson, Arizona.  Joe Perkins antiqued the finish and tweaked the action.  He did an outstanding job.  The photo does not do it justice.  In person, it looks like a 100+ year old gun.

That's a beauty.
A work in progress.

I'm not knocking the Kingair's gun or its appearance, in fact as fan of SAAs with black powder frames I find it quite appealing. I like the BP cylinder bevel as well.

But...in CAS and living history portrayals, wouldn't the people you are emulating be carrying much newer looking firearms? They wouldn't be carrying a gun that looked like a "100+ year old gun".

Just food for thought.
